The best area to stay in Conna is the historic centre, known locally as "Conna Vecchia" (Old Conna).Conna Vecchia is perched on a hillside, offering splendid views of the Ligurian Sea and the surrounding olive groves. This area is characterised by narrow, winding cobblestone streets, colourful terraced houses, and small, family-run trattorias. The main piazza, Piazza Garibaldi, is the heart of the village, where you'll find the local church and a few small shops. It's a pedestrian-friendly area, superb for leisurely strolls.Couples looking for a romantic and tranquil escape will find Conna Vecchia particularly appealing. The quiet evenings, the opportunity for intimate dinners with sea views, and the charm of the historic architecture create a memorable setting. Its elevated position also means cooler breezes during the warmer months. For those who appreciate convenience and easy access to the coast, the area just below Conna Vecchia, closer to the sea, offers a different experience. This part of Conna, sometimes referred to as Conna Marina, is more spread out and provides direct access to the coastal road and smaller, less crowded beaches.

The best time to visit Conna is during the shoulder seasons of May, June, September, and early October, avoiding the peak summer crowds while still enjoying pleasant weather.During these months, the weather is warm and sunny, great for exploring the walking trails and enjoying the local produce without the intense heat of July and August. You'll find the vineyards and olive groves at their most picturesque, and the local restaurants will be fully operational but less crowded. This is ideal for couples looking for a romantic getaway or food enthusiasts wanting to experience the local culinary scene without the hustle and bustle. For those travelling with families, particularly during school holidays, July and August offer the warmest temperatures, which are great for spending time at the beach or by a pool. While it's the busiest time, many local events and festivals take place, providing entertainment for all ages.
