"Fantastic location. Ideal for what we needed but also really rural-feeling and peaceful. We found it quiet and charming. We enjoyed wandering in amongst the old orchard and down through the copse, across the scrubland that forms part of the floodplain of the Tyne. It was good to know there are badgers around although we weren’t lucky enough to see anyway. The dawn chorus was impressive. Very pleasant indeed. Definitely will book again if we’re back in the area. "

"The room i received was an attic type room, very small and compact. Was ok for weekend stay but would have been terrible for longer. Room was clean and tidy cant fault that, the staff were amazing, very polite, very helpful. Limited onsite parking but wasnt busy so had parking all the time, there is street parking next to hotel too. From what I saw there was a kebab house, Chinese takeaway and a decent sized Asda store all within 5mins walk, main town, shopping and stadium less than 10mins drive and only 17mins drive from Newcastle airport, all in all good stay but would have rated higher with room being better."
