We stayed at the Fountain Inn for 2 nights while we did the Manitou Incline, driving in from Kansas. The room was clean and exactly as listed. It was within walking distance of all the shops on main street, which means we didn't have to fight with parking (a MAJOR plus!). We had a great time in Manitou Springs, and at the Fountain Inn and will be visiting again!
The Fountain Inn Creek was exactly what we needed for our 4-night stay. It's in the heart of the quirky city of Manitou Springs, and many restaurants and shops are within walking distance, so there is a lot to see. It's also easy to drive (we took Uber around) and get around the rest of the city or into Colorado Springs. Everything is about 10-15 minutes away, including tourist attractions such as Pike's Peak, Manitou Incline, and Garden of the Gods. The Cave Dwellings is about a 0.3 mi walk from The Fountain Creek inn as awell.
Our room was pristine, and we had enough supplies to last us the full 4 nights. We had plenty of towels and soap and shampoo and conditioner if needed. It's small but cozy, and because we were out more often than not, all we needed was a warm shower and a big, comfy bed. It was just what we needed.
It was very clean and quaint; I felt safe, and seeing other visitors coming and going from the inn was nice as we felt less alone. The host(s) let us know if we needed anything and gave us plenty of information about the rules and how to check out. Even though I had easy access to communicate with them throughout my stay, I didn't bother them because we had everything we needed.
I have nothing but positive things to say, and if you're looking for a small space with exactly what you need for a few overnight stays while exploring, then I recommend this stay.
Thanks again!
