Colonia Independencia Holidays from £1,230

Started every morning with snorkeling, step’s from our room. Good pool, better than expected food, only issue was lack of AC in some areas, but it’s expected. Would recommend!

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with lies and misleading information. We wasted half a day dealing with a service we had never requested. Even after we repeatedly asked them to stop, they kept insisting until my wife and I finally had to stand up and walk away. After that incident, the hotel staff began laughing at my wife and me, which was extremely disrespectful and unprofessional. On top of that, there was excessive humidity in our room, and I slipped on the wet, slippery floor and injured my knee. Only afterward were we told that we should not open the balcony door because the humidity would enter the room and make the floor slippery. Nobody had warned us about this beforehand. To make matters worse, the food was absolutely terrible. We could barely eat anything and had to leave the hotel and go into town just to find decent food. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. Between the misleading information, the pressure to buy a membership, the disrespectful behavior of the staff, the unsafe conditions in the room, and the horrible food, I would not recommend this hotel to others.

The property has deteriorated over the years it needs a lot of maintenance. Staff is not helpful at the front desk. Food is mediocre at best. Pools look dirty. Air conditioning doesn’t work well. They want to charge extra for everything, we only drink Pepsi black from the mini bar when asked if we could get a couple more they wanted $6 a can mind you we didn’t want the beer are anything else they stocked. Will not be returning.
