About this property

Viola - A coastal holiday retreat!

  • Welcome to our cozy seaside retreat VIOLA! Escape to where the mountains meet the ocean. Situated in the quiet coastal suburb of Swanwick, within a 5 minute walk to the stunning sandpiper beach & swan river estuary. Explore the world famous Freycinet National park, within a short 5 minute drive.

There is off street parking in the driveway, near the front door. This space is nice and flat and will allow for 2 cars to park.

This newly built, bright, spacious, open plan sanctuary is the perfect place to slow down, unwind and soak up Tasmania’s coastal living. Featuring a generous master king bedroom with en-suite bathroom, a queen bedroom with spectacular mountain views and a 2nd bathroom there is plenty of space to spread out in comfort.

Enjoy stunning panoramic hilltop views from the Hazard mountains over the green coastal bush land and in toward the Swanwick river mouth with all-day sunshine beaming through the large windows and bouncing off the polished wooden floors and clean white space. Both deck spaces are beautiful sun traps which we’ve designed with comfort in mind, each deck has a spacious outdoor daybed for either a morning coffee breathing in the fresh coastal air and basking in the glorious morning sunshine. Whilst off the Master bedroom is another private deck space with a large daybed, picnic seating and space to sit back and soak up the last of the afternoon sunshine with a glass of local east coast Tasmanian wine, reflecting in the serenity.

Swanwick runs parallel with Sandpiper beach with access only a 2 minute walk in either direction bringing adventure to your doorstep. The small township of Coles Bay is only a 5 minute drive with more pristine white beaches and then onto the mountainous Freycinet National Park. You could also take a drive 5 minutes back along the Coles Bay road and visit the expansive surf spot of Friendly Beaches and see if you can see the remains of the Shipwreck Viola who ran aground in 1857 and of which the property is named after.

We can guarantee a warm, clean, stylish and comfortable living space for 2-4 guests to relax, unwind, immerse in nature and restore. You can pop down to the local coffee shops, checking the black boards for weather and experiences such as Kayaking, Paddle Boarding, 4WD, Fishing, Snorkelling, Surfing, Golf, Hiking or book a boat tour cruising you around to the famous Wine Glass Bay. Seeing if you can spot a migrating whale, dolphins or white bellied sea eagle along the way. Fill a busy day or do as little as you please. There are plenty of eateries for lunch and dinner indulging you in local produce, from wood fired pizza, freshly caught seafood and Tasmanian ice cream to some of the best wine produced in Australia. The beaches have the choice for a surf in some spots or a safe, shallow relaxing dip in others. Then see the dreamy glow of the sun set cast the mountains a beaming pink and watch the sun reflect down over the water to the west. Wander home to Viola and be greeted with the cosy warmth of central heating making sure on a chilly night its warm and snug or on the warm summer nights you’re cool and comfortable.

What a lovely place it would be nice if there was a map for eats and must visits. Although we did look these places up. We did go to the lobster shack nice drive and the food was amazing., also great photo opportunities., also there is the icecream place just around the corner and the grosury stir and bar bistro. Just a rose the paddock is Big Peter burger place there is a golf course there as well. We found the property easy to find. Every Comfortable and utilities plenty. I did wash the range hood filters in the dishwasher. But all body hair products lovely to use. The property is very tastefully decorated. And this little rabbits a Iovely add on.... Thank you we will be back.
