"Fantastic location & views. Very basic which let it down. Not great when you travelled 4hrs on the road & not find any milk in fridge for a cup of tea. Lovely shower but all the mould let it down (even the fake plant was covered in mould). Tiny bath towels and no blind on window,Hole in fence has not been fixed but some broken chairs put in front which didn't take my dogs long to figure out & no outside light in garden so i had to use my phone torch to make sure they did not escape at night....

"The place is absolutely stunning and we loved the secret door in particular. The fact there was some basic provisions when we arrived was super. The size of the apartment was much bigger than expected, and the decor, although a bit dated was in keeping with the property. The local village was quaint and we enjoyed a meal and drinks at the local pub one night."

"We were a party of 10, getting together to celebrate the 60th birthday party of 2 family members. The house was beautiful, plenty of room for everyone, although to be honest we spend most of our time in the cosy but large kitchen and adjacent games room. Many period features allowed you to really experience how they used to love. Kirby Stephen high street was a stones throw away, making it convenient for local shops and pubs. Would highly recommend for a large family get together"

"This is a really lovely and immaculately maintained property, and one that provides and excellent base for exploring the Lake District. It is very well equipped and comfortable, and also nice and quiet - just the tonic if on a break. We enjoyed cooking and relaxing and also exploring the local area, which was new to us. "Foxglove cottage is ideally situated in the village, very close to the shop/post office and the excellent "Boot and Shoe" pub. The cottage was clean on arrival, maybe a little dated on the interior, but this adds to the charm. Beds were clean and comfy and the free wi- fi was a nice touch along with the freeview tv. Plenty of good walks and a lovely park and outdoor pool nearby."

"We had a great holiday. We stay for 4 nights ( 4 adults and 2 children (10 and 6)). The lodge is very cosy and it is very spacious. My son was very happy watching the ducks swimming in the pond. Children watched rabbits running around outside the lodge. Our grandparents flew over from Lithuania and they were left awestruck. Highly recommended Many Thanks😊"

"It was a good cabin and very clean. Everything was there that we needed. Pub on site was a little expensive not really ideal for a family budget but the pub up the road was a little better.
