Beautiful Riverfront Getaway in the Cascade Mountains

"We were amazed at the beauty of this location. The “Cabin in the Sky” is charming and well appointed with everything we needed. The cabin is obviously well loved and cared for. It’s quite the treasure. The town of Index is rich with local history and a testimony to the hard work of those who preceded us. Then there’s the mountains!! Must have taken 30 photos at different times of the day. Will enjoy editing them and sharing them with friends and family. We were very impressed with how well the owner communicated with us, making for a problem free arrival and departure. We hope to return sometime when those mountains are covered with snow."

"This was a great little place to stay. I just needed somewhere for the night. It was clean, quiet. My room had a full refrigerator sink. Microwave was a great room. Was it a five-star hotel? No, but I don't need that. So if you just need a great little place to stay for the night, come here."

"Such a cozy home right on the S. Fork Stilly. We loved everything about our stay at this cabin; by far the best vacation rental we've had. The deck and the patio were the best, we really enjoyed drinking coffee right above the river every morning. We'll definitely stay here again on our next trip if available."

"The property was gorgeous, the view alone was worth the price. If you're afraid of spiders however be on guard. I understand completely when staying in the mountains it comes with the territory however I was greated by the largest spider I've ever seen up close and personal the morning of checkout in the tub. I appreciated the house and the space however having to put back the few books they have in alphabetical order seemed like a bit much. Overall amazing view and the hot tub was welcomed after a long hike."
