Stevens paintings are amazing, please look out for them in the breakfast room. Would highly recommend

We stayed for a wedding just outside of the village and it was just perfect. The lady on reception last Saturday (17thOct) in the afternoon /evening was great, so informative and took our photo no problem. Nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be back. The radio in the room was also a nice touch instead of a tv. Thank you.

We've stayed at The Cornish Arms on many occasions and it never fails to disappoint. Fantastic welcoming staff, wonderful food (dinner and breakfast) and a well-appointed and luxurious room.

This is the most fabulous hotel. The buildings from 1810 arranged around the courtyard are beautiful. The staff are all true professionals, courteous, helpful, knowledgeable, all with a smile.
Our room was lovely with a view down to the Tamar and beautifully presented.
Now to the dining where do you start? The food was I think the best we have ever eaten. The menu was a complete gastronomic experience from breakfast to dinner.
We will definitely return.

The Blue Lion is ideally situated for a stop over when making a long journey to Cornwall. The room was well equipped and comfortable. There is some traffic noise from the road, but that did not spoil our one night stay. The staff were welcoming and the locals were friendly. The evening meal was excellent. I would stay here again if travelling in this area.

Unique for this B&B is the hospitality of Iain and Jack. They make for you a delicious breakfast every morning and serve it in their kitchen. In the evening you can read a book in their superb living room. So many details in their house. A pleasure to see around. The bedroom and bathroom are very clean.

Lovely family run pub which I've stayed at for work previously.
Rooms are very large and have everything you need.
Had a fantastic pie for dinner and breakfast is very reasonably priced.
Great value accommodation for the Liskeard area with friendly staff.

We were travelling with a dog and stayed in one of the ground floor rooms. The room we had was fine for our overnight stay. It was comfortable and clean. The staff were very friendly towards us and our dog and we were made very welcome. Evening meal was excellent as was the breakfast.
We can recommend this hotel especially if you want to stay somewhere with some character.

The best area to stay in Coad's Green is the village centre itself, offering both convenience and a touch of rural charm.
The heart of Coad's Green is centred around the village green and the main road that runs through it. You'll find a few local amenities here, including a community shop and the village pub. The area is quite compact and provides a good base for exploring the surrounding Cornish countryside.
For couples looking for a relaxing retreat, staying in the village centre is ideal. You'll have easy access to pleasant walks directly from your accommodation, and the pub offers a welcoming spot for an evening meal without needing to drive. It's a peaceful setting great for unwinding.
Families will also find the village centre convenient.
When is the best time to go to Coad'S Green?
The best time to go to Coad's Green is during the late spring and summer months, from May to September, when the weather is generally at its finest for exploring the Cornish countryside.
During this period, you'll experience longer daylight hours and milder temperatures, making it ideal for outdoor activities like hiking, cycling, and visiting the nearby coast. The gardens are in full bloom, and local attractions are fully operational with extended opening times. This is great for travellers who want to maximise their time enjoying the natural beauty and local sights without the worry of inclement weather.
For those looking to avoid the busiest school holiday crowds and potentially secure better value on accommodation, late May, early June, or September are excellent choices. The weather remains pleasant, but the popular spots are generally less crowded, offering a more relaxed experience.
