This place was dirty and out of date. I went back and forth to the front desk three times because the one room had a dirty floor, the second tool had a dirty floor and hair in the toilet and sink! The front desk person was very nice and. Accommodating the third time she said let me go check so you go T had to walk back. The elevator floor was dirty. This property was once the Double tree and very nice nothing like that now! This should be a motel 6. The need to do renovations.

Stayed there on and off 2-3days a week for the last 6months or so. I love Ms Lenicia! She always makes sure I’m all checked in when I get off work in the morning. The hotel is old but well maintained. The cook to order breakfast was convenient at the Sanctuary restaurant in the lobby. It was a fair driving distance to my job. I’ll stay again if I’m back in the Cleveland area.

From check in to check out the staff was amazing. Has a hiccup with the fridge not working in the room and they made it right immediately. We had paid for the made to order breakfast for our entire stay and it was very very good and the waiter was wonderful. We were hoping to have some pool time but it was under maintance which is understandable since it was just opening up for the season. That did not effect our stay or the review because things happen. We will definitely stay again.

pool and hot tub were closed. hot tub appears to be needing some major renovations. hotel certainly shows its age but the rooms were clean and bed was comfortable. The hotel was pretty busy but the rooms were quiet. The parking lot lights are mostly not working although you do get some light from a nearby highway interchange. I booked this hotel hoping to soak in the hot tub after a long day of driving, was disappointed to see it not working and the pool area locked off 2 hours before the stated closing time. I did not try the breakfast, although people were talking about how good it was. ymmv.

Met the new manager he was amazing. Overall it was run down. EVERYTHING was run down and has been better days. We couldn't change the TV channel hot tub didnt work pool was closed (booked it for hot tub and pool) most of the lights in room didnt work but it served it's purpose a place to sleep while in the area. Beds were nice clean and fresh. The manager just started and has plans to turn it around and I hope he does overall its a beautiful place just run down. But had I known the status and actual condition of the place I would not have booked it. The photos are very misleading and I think probably very old.

The maintenance man was working hard. We had an issue with a light bulb and was treated very nicely and he explained that it had been sold and they are trying to make this a better stay for people. Our air conditioner blasted noisily but he was unable to fix it at the time. It was so loud that night we could not sleep or hear our TV. Our refrigerator was not working either.. It was a half day of communicating with office to get a new room the following night. We did get another room and it was in good working condition however; I went to shower that night and we had no water in the shower. When I returned my key next morning, they said they would put it on the maintenance report but did not offer a free breakfast buffet (new thing) but, on the site I bought thru, it stated free breakfast! They did have free coffee in the a.m..

The room was in need of some major upgrades. The tub wouldn’t drain. The a/c filter was so dirty. Our door didn’t lock properly. The bathroom cabinets were broken. The pool was supposed to be finished getting fixed but the hot tub was out of order and the outside pool was being repaired. Someone was smoking in their room so the fire alarms went off. I would strongly caution anyone considering staying at the Wyndham Independence. What was supposed to be a relaxing anniversary weekend turned into one of the worst hotel experiences I have had. The room was musty, muggy, and smelled moldy. It did not feel properly cleaned, the bed was visibly sunken and uncomfortable, and there appeared to be plumbing issues. The overall cleanliness of the property was also disappointing. One of the main reasons I booked this hotel was for the pool and hot tub. When I arrived and asked the front desk for pool towels, I was casually told the pool was closed for maintenance. When I asked when it would reopen, the employee simply said she did not know—maybe days or a week. There was no helpful explanation or concern that an advertised amenity was unavailable. The hotel was extremely noisy, children were running around the property without shoes, and at one point the security guard appeared to be sleeping on a couch. Staff seemed inattentive, including at the front desk. For the price, I expected a clean, comfortable, professionally managed hotel. Instead, this was an extremely disappointing stay that ruined what was supposed to be a special weekend. I have requested that management contact me and address these concerns. I would recommend looking elsewhere before booking.
