"The property would have been great only if they picked up our luggage from the bus port. It is high up in the mountain, very difficult to drag your luggage. Not enough warning provided as to how difficult it would be to take your baggage. No taxi, no pick up, I saw other guests who almost cried, dragging their luggage up to the hotel often on narrow oncoming traffic."

"The villa is just the right size for a couple or small family. It’s perfectly located in Varenna and easy walking distance to everything. The owners are wonderful, met us to take us to the property and provide several nice amenities. They also checked in on us to make sure we were okay and provided several options for things to do and places to eat. Would highly recommend if you want a true Italian experience."

"Great stay, the hotel and Rita, the host and all the staff are amazing! Fantastic views, a bit different from your regular hotels but that is a plus! Has a hot tub and pool as well as included breakfast (which is really good and it’s great to not have to worry about breakfast). It’s a bit outside of Varenna, it’s up in the hills, so you will need a Taxi every time to get back up to the hotel, there was a free night bus that took us to the hotel, but I believe it’s only running until October 2025. Going down to Varenna, you do need a Taxi or if you have a bike or rented car, be careful with the curves and the other Italian drivers lol. You can also do a walk down that takes about 20-25 minutes, but it is very rocky path down. Overall, great stay and room and would recommend."
