"Our check in was very disappointing. The room was very small so I request an upgrade which I was happy to pay for- the receptionist explained they had a room but it was being cleaned, for us to go enjoy lunch and come back to sort it out. On our return they had sold the room to someone else. Hotel location is nice, rooms tiny and old/ worn. Beach set up in also very small with sun loungers crammed together. the beach is lovely. Stay in a proper hotel and come use the beach!"

"We are a family of 4. We had a great trip and the property was super convenient and clean. The only thing worth noting is that the 2 twin beds upstairs are very thin pads on wood. Was not a problem for us because one teen took the 2nd bedroom and 1 took the pull out sofa but if you plan to need or use the twin beds upstairs, I would not consider them beds."

"This place is wonderful. The building is so perfectly placed in the heart of Portofino with a parking garage across the street if you drive. Our only complaint is that although the mattresses are comfortable, they make noises every time you move in bed. I believe it’s the platform under the mattresses in the two bedrooms. In either case, we wore ear plugs and then slept fine."
