"We were quick in and out and really just needed comfortable beds, a cool room, showers and breakfast. All of these were wonderful. It’s in a cute neighborhood close to the river promenade/bikepath. Great dining within walking distance. Excellent beds, room temp, and stylish amenities. Loved the design. It being Mainz, birthplace of printing press the hotel decor references that in multiple subtle and stylish ways. Very cool hotel."

"The hotel is close to the busy Mainz train station and the neighborhood can be somewhat gritty. As a single woman traveling alone I felt somewhat uncomfortable that when I checked in on Sunday I needed to use the lockbox and enter into an empty reception area. We were also in another heatwave and the rooms are not air-conditioned. These are the only 2 negatives. The room was lovely and recently updated. It was modern, clean and included a small but adequate kitchen. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was a good size (though light on amenities). All was modern, clean and comfortable. There was a large fan, which made it possible to sleep despite the heat. I also appreciated that the hotel offers a simple breakfast at no charge. Though the hotel is no frills and not staffed at night, it is good value for self-sufficient travelers."

"A no frills hotel with nothing extra but everything you need. Room was huge; breakfast was delicious and the staff were exceptional. Very clean and extremely quiet. I’d definitely stay there again. I was in an “accessible” room. The shower was on the wall in the bathroom with a curtain around it. There was no raised floor or tray in the bottom of the shower area. When I was finished with my shower the entire bathroom floor was flooded. I suggest leaving a squeegee in the bathroom to help direct the water down the drain so the floor will dry."
