Our house is located directly on the eastern shore of Lake Chiemsee along the beach promenade. Nearby, you’ll find boat rentals, a dock, a public beach, restaurants, mini-golf, and bike rentals. On our website, you’ll find the availability calendar and a detailed list of the holiday apartments’ amenities. One apartment is located on the ground floor and is wheelchair accessible. Use of the washing machine and dryer is available for a fee. You’ll find much more information in our digital guest guide, the “Gastfreund.”
The accessible holiday apartment is located on the ground floor, facing the garden. It features one bedroom, a kitchenette, and a living room with a pull-out couch. The large bathroom is equipped for people with disabilities (wheelchair-accessible sink, grab bars by the toilet, and a walk-in shower with a shower chair). There is seating on the terrace. Fly screens and blackout curtains in the bedroom; use of the washing machine and dryer for a fee.
Chieming is located on the eastern shore of Lake Chiemsee. In addition to 8 km of freely accessible swimming beach, there is also a public beach and several kiosks along the shore. The town features several restaurants, a supermarket, a butcher shop, a post office, a bakery, and a few other shops for daily needs. A short drive takes you to the Chiemgau Mountains, as well as our county seat Traunstein, Rosenheim, or Wasserburg (“Little Italy”)—even Salzburg is only about 35 km away from us. Here in Chieming, you can follow in the footsteps of the Romans, take a walk along the lake, watch breathtaking sunsets, or simply unwind.
We, the Wallner family, have been running our commercial fishing business on Lake Chiemsee for 12 generations. Every Thursday (and also on Tuesdays from Pentecost through the end of September), we offer freshly smoked fish, and in the summer, fish sandwiches as well. We also offer fish caught fresh from Lake Chiemsee. Since the early 20th century, we’ve been renting rooms to “summer visitors”—and now we have four holiday apartments and a cosy holiday cottage. We still keep traditions alive here—whether it’s with the traditional costume club or the brass band, there’s always something going on.
