Super fun stay at this beautiful mid-century home! Ryan did a great job of making it feel like a time warp and stepping into the past.
Well stocked home and furnished - we had everything we needed.
Safe neighborhood and well positioned where we were 10-15 minutes from so much in the area - arboretum, Whole Foods, great restaurants, colleges, etc.
Ryan was an incredible host and responsive to questions and proactive with information. Many thanks!
Highly recommend staying here!
Unfortunately, the road was a total construction zone for apparent sewer/water lines in process of being dug underground...once in the driveway, obtaining the access code took an extra call to VRBO customer service but, after that, everything was wonderful!
A very spacious, 3-bedroom home with a great entertainment room in the basement and fully functional kitchen--it was great being able to prepare our own breakfast each day. (Note: we tried the jukebox in the living room, but couldn't get any selections to work.) The master bedroom ensuite was nice but the bathroom could be improved with a slightly larger vanity with counterspace for personal toiletries and a more functional shower, e.g., a glass wall vs. a shower curtain, a grab bar, and a shower pole to adjust the height of the shower head.
Location-wise, easy access to Jewel-Osco and Trader Joe's as well as a short drive to Wheaton College.
Thanks, Ryan, for accommodating an early check-in--much appreciated!
This property is beautiful and quaint, with the vintage decorations adding a lovely touch to the stay. Ryan was awesome to work with and made sure our check in was easy, and the amenities offered at the property were just as described and wonderful to have.
Property was clean and well kept...with kitchen supplies and extra linens/blankets. Beds were comfortable, and house was spacious and well styled. Highly recommended!
The house is beautifully appointed with tons of space. The eclectic collection of furniture and art were fascinating to stroll through and we enjoyed using the record players and jukebox. You can tell someone put a lot of effort into collecting the items that adorn this beautiful property. The sliding door walls opened the space up for indoor-outdoor experience. The kitchen had everything we could need, including every appliance known to man as far as I could tell. The beds were very comfortable and clean, and on the firmer side. The bathrooms were clean, and had soap and shampoo. The basement made a great place for the younger members of our party to hang out late into the night without disturbing our older guests. The number of games and massive TV were great for the kids. The beautiful yard was a great place to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee before starting our day. The neighborhood was quiet and pleasant and very near several restaurants and stores on the main corridor. We felt incredibly welcomed by the host, and had no trouble using all the varied devices in the house. We were given several helpful local recommendations on where to eat and visit. We absolutely loved our stay and we would happily stay again.
