Bordering Lake Michigan on the north side of Chicago directly above Lakeview/Lincoln Park, Wrigeleyville/Lakeview houses one of Chicago’s most popular destinations: Wrigley Field. Originally built in 1914 for Federal League’s Chicago Whales, Wrigley Field is one the oldest still-operating stadiums in the MLB. It was renamed Wrigley Field in 1926 by then-owner William Wrigley Jr., a chewing gum manufacturer. Of course, there's more to the neighborhood than baseball. The location is great - close to Wrigley, coffee shops, restaurants. The house itself is wonderful - spacious, clean, lovely. Stephanie was a great communicator, and check-in was easy. You are RIGHT by Wrgley, like 10 minute walk, which is what we wanted to be near since we were going to a game and wanted to chak out bars & restaurants in the area. We were there Mon-Wed and easily Uber'd downtown for meetings and then on to Navy Pier. The best part of this property is it's location...the street is lovely and safe. One thing to know is the train is literally directly behind the property and it runs 24/7\. It's loud. It did not bother us because we lived in NYC and are accustomed to city traffic sounds but our friends travelling with us were not. It would not prevent me from staying here again but it is worth mentioning. The house is beautifully decorated with plenty of seating in the living room and the kitchen/dining room. The beds are very comfortable. The location can't be beat. Wrigley Field is a 2 minute walk from the house as well as restaurants. The outdoor space in front of the house is very nice. There are two very nice, large parking spaces in back which are necessary because it can be difficult to park on the street. I didn't give a 5 star rating because there was no mention that the train track is right behind the house. It is loud enough that it is difficult to hear the tv and very loud in two of the bedrooms. At night it does not run as often as it does during the day. My son slept with ear buds and didn't have a problem. It is not as loud in the front bedroom. It didn't keep me from sleeping. Also note that if you park on the street you have to have a parking permit. We didn't and got a ticket. Having said all this, I would rent this house again. Our family of eight, made reservations at this beautiful home, so we could get together for a Riviera Theater show, Green Mill Club show and a Cubs v Brewers game. The location for all of these events was excellent, with a four minute walk to Wrigley and a nine minute lyft to both the Green Mill and The Riviera Theater. The house had two parking slots, which was great for our family and the house was beautiful, comfortable and accommodated us well. They had everything we needed for a weekend stay, including a portacrib for our grandchild. They had some suggestions for restaurants nearby and we made use of both Lou Malnati's pizza delivery and breakfast at the Breakfast House, which was wonderful. The hosts were easily and quickly available to answer some questions leading up to, and during our stay. We all loved the house and the location and would absolutely stay there again! ##### Bill R. Three real bedrooms and even a downstairs office or air mattress area. Could stay here comfortably for weeks with 4 adults. Owner was responsive without a laundry list of warnings that make you regret not getting a hotel. Location was great and especially good if you are a baseball fan. Just far enough that it wasn't rowdy, although traffic on game nights needs to be accounted for. Sensitive sleepers should avoid the bedroom next to the train, and 1 neighbor a few houses down was rowdy and loud on a Saturday night until midnight.
