Kept awake by garbage truck at 2am
I stayed 3 nights at this hotel which is centrally located. My first night was on the 3rd floor facing a back alley. There was some street noise, but was brief and didn't keep me awake. However, on the 2nd night, a garbage truck came into the back alley at 2am, and kept running and making a lot of noise. I stayed awake for a whole hour not knowing when the noise would stop. So I finally called the front desk, and someone came to apologize and went to get me a key to a different room. So at 3:30am, I switched to a larger room on the 5th floor facing Adam Street. But try falling asleep after all the commotion! My 3rd night was uneventful as it should've been. I'd commend the hotel for responding quickly to my request for a new room. However, they could've given me a quiet room right from the beginning as there didn’t seem to be many guests in February.
