I read a recent review not to be concerned in what was looking like you were turning up in an industrial estate, the setting is odd yes but works well. It was a lovely stay and the apartment was really spacious, clean and had exactly what we needed, we had a great stay. It was an ok walk into the town centre aswell so if you like walking its only a stones throw away and was perfect for us. Manchester is a city centre, expect there might be a small amount of noise at times from groups who are...

Great location, walkable to Manchester centre in about 25 minutes or 10 min Uber ride. Check in was easy and the studio had everything we needed for a short break - no frills and basic but all you need.
The main entrance needs some TLC as the hand rail came off in my hand which was quite dangerous and one of the stair edges came away - which again could be dangerous.

This appears to be five star in every way, great bar and restaurant, excellent breakfast. Rooms are elegant and spacious. Staff could not do enough for us, they were all very well trained and offered excellent customer service. Fantastic modern beautiful hotel.

The room was equipped with everything one could need & we appreciated the newspaper service. The owner was friendly as were all the staff but not obtrusive no carpet in the bathroom was a bonus !!

It was a great place to stay, the rooms were all really clean, the bed was one of the comfiest I've slept and i would recommend it anyone who asks. The staff were all really nice and helped us when we needed anything.

Very clean and spacious room, comfortable bed and surprisingly very quiet. Easy parking (once you know where to go!). And a mini bar full of free fun snacks. Reception and bar staff were friendly and helpful. We will return.

It was clean and modern plenty
of seating to relax in. The bar was available for coffee, drinks and snacks. Near the train station and the rooms were clean. The staff were really helpful and the breakfast which was continental catered for all tastes vegan if required. All in all a most pleasant and relaxed atmosphere. I would definitely go again.

The best area to stay in Cheetham Hill is the area around Manchester Fort Shopping Park, particularly for its convenience and access to amenities.
This area is generally much-loved for its accessibility, situated just north of Manchester city centre. It's characterised by a mix of retail and light industrial properties, with good transport links via Cheetham Hill Road and the Manchester inner ring road. While not a traditional tourist hub, it offers practical advantages for those visiting the wider Manchester area.
For travellers looking for a convenient base with easy access to shopping and transport, this area is ideal. You'll find a range of familiar retail outlets and eateries within the shopping park, making it simple to pick up essentials or grab a quick meal. It's particularly useful for those who might be travelling with a car, as parking is often more readily available here than in the very heart of the city.
For couples or solo travellers who appreciate good value and straightforward access to Manchester's attractions without being directly in the busiest parts, staying near Manchester Fort offers a practical solution.
When is the best time to go to Cheetham Hill?
The best time to visit Cheetham Hill is during the late spring (May-June) and early autumn (September-October) months when the weather is generally mild and pleasant.
These periods offer comfortable temperatures for exploring the area on foot, with less chance of the heavy rain that can occur in winter or the occasional heatwaves of high summer. You'll find Cheetham Hill's streets and attractions less crowded than during peak school holiday periods, allowing for a more relaxed experience.
