"Mike and Susie were excellent hosts, responding quickly to any queries and ensuring we had all the information that we needed. The house was perfect for our family, which comprised of two people in their late eighties (the house is all on one level, and they had their own ensuite), my husband and I (with the only upstairs room, our own balcony and bathroom) , as well as three youngsters in their twenties (the pool table and swimming pools were a big hit, as well as the local bar and boulangerie). "We had a lovely week at this beautiful property near Carcassonne, the interior belied the rather ordinary exterior it has been decorated beautifully and has all of the amenities you would need. The pool area and garden are planted with a range of plants both real and artificial, the pool not large but still great for cooling off with a large seating area, outdoor kitchen and BBQ, we spent most of our time here. The bedroom on the ground floor is beautiful and spacious with an ensuite, the four doubles on the first floor are again large and spacious and beautifully decorated serviced by three bathrooms. However, the three top floor rooms two are very small one a very small double the other a single and our party of 9 struggled to allocate these as they were not of the same previous standard. We had a few teething problems with the property but the housekeeper resolved these reasonably quickly and was always on hand to answer questions. The house is in a road with a few good restaurants in walking distance, a bank, pharmacy and local supermarket and an outdoor pool attached to the local swimming baths. All in all if you are after a large, grand house and wish to explore this area of France and all it's beauty you can't go wrong with this property. "
