    Perched at the highest point in Ajijic, San Rafael 3BD offers sweeping Lake Chapala views—you're not on the lakeshore, but above it with the best vantage in town. The living area opens to your private terrace; shared outdoor areas (pool, gardens, hot tub) may be used alongside Galeana, our guest suite for up to two people. Morning light, mountain air, roosters calling from the valley below. Three bedrooms with fresh linens and storage. Three-and-a-half bathrooms with essentials provided. Full indoor kitchen plus outdoor grill kitchen. Free parking on premises. Enhanced cleaning practices keep everything fresh. A mountain trail climbs right behind the house; Ajijic center—restaurants, galleries, shops—is a short walk downhill. This is where families slow down, breathe, and take in the lake from above.



    The Space:

    The living room and dining area flow onto your private terrace with lake views. Three bedrooms spread across two levels—fresh linens, hangers, and storage in each. Three-and-a-half bathrooms with hot water, essentials, and hair dryers. Full indoor kitchen with cookware, dishes, coffee maker, and gas grill in the outdoor kitchen. Shared grounds include the pool, hot tub, gardens, outdoor dining, and outdoor bathroom—used only with Galeana (max 2 guests), with San Rafael on the upper level for extra privacy.



    Guest Access:

    Self check-in via keypad — follow the welcome app for building entry, parking, and apartment door codes. Message us before arrival if numbering is unclear.



    The Neighborhood:

    Ajijic / Lake Chapala — San Rafael sits at the town's highest point above the shore, not on the lakeshore. Walk downhill to village restaurants, gallery strolls, and the malecón; mountain trails start half a block behind the house. Lake and Sierra Madre views from the property.



    Getting Around:

    Getting around is effortless. The property is walkable to central Ajijic in 10-15 minutes on foot, where you'll find local buses, taxis, and ride-shares readily available. Secure parking is provided on the grounds if you're driving. The nearest major airport is Guadalajara International Airport, approximately 90 minutes away by car, offering connections throughout Mexico and beyond. For a slower pace, you can explore the Ribiera on foot or by bicycle, with the lake and mountain trails at your doorstep.

    Shared Outdoor Areas

    When you book San Rafael, you have private use of your villa and terrace. Outdoor areas—the pool, garden, lounging areas, outdoor bathrooms, and walkways—are shared only with Galeana, a guest suite for a maximum of two people. San Rafael sits at the upper level of the property for greater privacy.



    Laundry Service (additional cost)

    We offer a laundry service including washing, drying, and folding, available at an additional cost calculated based on the weight of the laundry. The service can be easily requested through our concierge during your stay.
