Minutes from Chania airport and a few more into Chania old town for culture, gyros, and shopping. We loved every minute. Etouri were superb and we had every whim ( should we have wished it) offered. Villa Panorama just has every thing and more should you need equipment wise. The small village of Marathi is only a few Km away with several restaurants to choose from, we had lunch there on three separate days in 3 different restaurants and obviously the beach is there as is boat hire (which we did - no licence needed - my son is 26) Otherwise we bar b qued every night in the outdoor kitchen. You do need a car I would say but taxis are easy to get too and complete bonus is you are so close to the airport and although you do see/hear the odd plane it certainly wasn’t an issue at all. In fact it’s an incredibly quiet villa.
