Excellent service and very flexible staff. Staff were friendly and helpful but could take some searching to find them. The view with the balcony was stunning but the arrangement of the room doesn't really feature it; that is to say you only see the view standing at the foot of the bed. The best part of staying here was the very nice cafe/pub located across the street. I got what was probably the lower end of the rates charged by this hotel but would have been much more disappointed had I paid the higher end (which when I stayed was about triple price for Saturday nights). ##### Christopher Stayed 1 night in Jul 2025 ### 10/10 Excellent #### Laurence 4 Mar 2024 Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, property conditions & facilities Really friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff. Bus stop right outside the hotel for easy access to Chamonix Centre. 5 minute walk from the gondola. Good breakfast, limited evening food menu but the food, beef and chicken burgers and pizzas, were all very nice. After getting back ache on the first night, the manager went out of his way to acquire a firm mattress for me which was MUCH better; thank you!!! Needed a bit more assistance due to crutches and was well taken care off by everyone working there. Since I couldn’t walk far I got to eat dinner there often. The menu is small and simple. And would have loved there to be more restaurant around the place. But I choose the hotel because it’s close to the lift. Too bad I couldn’t ski at all. Restaurant was closed as in "interseason". Didnt bother with breakfast as cheaper options in bar opposite. Limited reception hours but they mailed me beforehand with code to get in back door. Free parking next door. I could look at the mountains from the bed. It's a little far from the main town with no sidewalks, so depending on where you plan to go that could be a consideration. Overall very clean, friendly and gorgeous location. The restaurant was meh. It was a rainy day so they canceled their regular menu completely, you had a choice of 1 dinner option and their "snacks" menu. Which was pretty good overall even if it did take longer than expected to make a panini in a mostly empty restaurant. Dessert was good as well. We skipped the very very expensive and limited breakfast and went across the street to the cafe. ##### Maria Stayed 1 night in Jul 2024 ### 8/10 Good #### Peter 19 Aug 2023 Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, room comfort I’ve stayed here twice now for work. The hotel does need a makeover but the beds are comfy, the bathrooms are fine if small and the staff are all lovely. It’s a three star hotel: no coffee in room, no fridge or mini bar in the room and no safe either. The breakfast is all you could want apart from an old fashioned coffee pot system - no proper made to order quality cappa or flat Americano. Just filter coffee 😞 The views are stunning from the front of the hotel, and the balconies are a good size but the downside is road noise and noise from the bar ( Le Petit Social ) across the road. My only real problem is no air-con…the rooms are so small that you wake up suffocating in the middle of the night. If hotels like Première Class can offer a/c and tea/coffee in room at a much lower price point so can this place.
