Advertised as a bed & breakfast, no breakfast. When we checked in was told credit card machine was not working any the rate was 25 euros higher than quoted on Expedia. In the end the credit machine was working and we ended up paying the correct rate.

Perfect Holiday
The B&B was in a perfect location, staff were incredibly friendly and rooms were clean. I couldn't fault it and will definitely be coming back to stay here again.

Great location on the water, with terrace for relaxing at sunrise or sunset. Room was large and well lit, with heating/AC. Parking is at the port a 15 minute walk or 10 Euro taxi away when the shuttle is not running (Oct-Apr), like all accommodation in the old city, so keep that in mind. Breakfast is a coffee and croissant at a nearby cafe, so less than we enjoyed at all the other spots in Sicily, but it worked.

The property has a lovely terrace overlooking the sea. However, the shower in our room was far too small and almost impossible to use because the shower head defused the water too much. Almost impossible to get to right temperature before getting in without turning the bathroom into a wet room.

best hotel out of a 21 day adventure
Nicest place we stayed in our 21 day trip to Italy, Switzerland and Barcelona. Super clean, the absolutely nicest and most accommodating hosts. I felt like we made life-long friends and was sorry we had to leave. I would highly recommend anyone go here just to stay and enjoy the town and the hosts. I will always remember this stay.

Sadly we stayed for only one night. La Dolce Vita proved to be the perfect accompaniment for a well matured seaside village. A perfect location surrounded by wine bars, an excellent selection and range of eating houses plus plenty of good shopping for those those inclined that way. The staff couldn't do enough to help us and ensure our short stay was truly memorable.

We loved the lication above the sea with the terrace overlooking a sea view. Easy to find and in the middle of a busy shopping and restaurant area in old Cefalu.

In the historic centre, close to highlights
2 minutes from everything, the cathedral, the beach, dozens of restaurants and bars. Fantastic sea view from the roof terrace. Daily cleaning, friendly staff.

If you want to stay in the old part of Cefalu, then you have to expect lots of steep stairs and no elevators. I had a little trouble with stairs as recovering from knee surgery. When I arrived, one of the staff heard me and rushed down to help me and carry my bag, top marks for her attention. She also offered to change my room for one on first floor, but I declined as booked room bigger and airier. Decor was startlingly bright, shocking pink, purple and violet with jungle green trimmings. But, once my eyes got used to it, I found that it was very cheerful. You really can’t wake up in the morning to such a profusion of colour and not feel happy. My only complaint was the shower. The actual shower stall was very small and had a hard screen instead of a curtain, probably as many guests don’t put the end of the curtain inside the stall and end up flooding the bathroom. This wasn’t the problem, but the shower head was very high and for a shortie like me, meant that I couldn’t rinse off properly. If I could make a suggestion, a hand shower would solve this problem and probably save water.

Awesome stay. Great value!
Right in the heart of the old town. Beware of certain times you are allowed to drive into the old town up to the front door. I think they sent an email a day before for check in specifics. Small room but very clean and helpful staff. Had fridge. No kettle for coffee. We had awesome balcony over looking the street. The are also rooms that over look the sea. We opted out of breakfast option because we heard it's a coupon for a croissant and coffee at local restaurant.

A nice spacious apartment that exceeded expectation with a shared terrace overlooking the sea - perfect for a do-it-yourself breakfast if you don't want to go to the café round the corner. The staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming and communication was good. It was useful to be able to leave our luggage safely after checking out so we could explore Cefalu.

Disappointing B and B.
This was not a good choice and from the beginning we could see there were problems. Upon arrival, there was no staff so we had to find our own room, there was simply a note on the door to indicate our room. Also, the parking which is described as close by and convenient is in fact a long 15 minute walk away. The room on the street is very noisy at night. There is no service at the hotel for food or drinks, not even water. The breakfast, which is described as "full breakfast' is in fact ONE cup of coffee and ONE croissant and has to be taken in a restaurant which is about a 5 minute walk from the hotel, service by a rude waiter. Overall we did not enjoy this experience.

Good B & B in Cefalu
Good place to stay - right on the coast, with sea views. A charming minimalist approach to decor and facilities, but the plumbing & heating all worked fine. Staff very helpful and accommodating. There is no lift but the owner will take your cases up the stairs. The "breakfast" is a token to a cafe by the Duomo, and this gives you a pastry & hot drink ....but it is an extra E5. We would recommend it.

As noted by other reviewers, the location of this B&B is excellent, except for the parking. This was not a big deal for us, and we were prepared for the walk because of the other reviews. We did not try to drive directly to the B&B but parked in the large parking area just outside of the historical centre (about 500 metres from the B&B). We aren't sure if we could have parked in the old town or if a special permit was required. Once you are at the B&B, the location is awesome - a beautiful view from the terrace over the water, close to the Duomo and tons of restaurants, bars, cafes etc to chose from. The rooms are large and comfortable, if a little loud (we were overlooking the street and got street noises early in the morning) and the bed perhaps a little hard. All in all, a great place to stay. We wish we'd spent more than one night.

Enjoy the sweet life.
I spent one night in Cefalu. This b and b has an amazing view from terrace overlooking the sea. The owner provided a voucher for a continental breakfast at piazza in front of cathedral. I had a cornetto a with pistachio cream and a cappuccino! All while admiring the cathedral's facade and the piazza on a glorious Sunday morning.

Amazing location, our room / mini apartment over looked the sea and sitting on the balcony in the evening was beautiful. Depending on which room you get there are quite a few stairs. The real disappointment was the breakfast. You are given a voucher for a local cafe, which in itself would not be a problem, but the offering of one croissant and a cup of coffee left you feeling hard done by. The staff at the cafe were the surliest we met during the whole trip and took the gloss of what was a great few days.
Dolce Vita b&b offer a standard Italian breakfast as described in the website, so no buffet due for a good price reservation

Nice terrace over sea
Nice room, close to beach, centrally located in interesting area. Great terrace overlooking ocean. Be aware, though, that cars are prohibited in the area. You must park about a half-mile or kilometer away, and must carry your luggage in (and may not find a free space). Giovanni at the tourist information hut at the beach can ferry you in on a golf cart (6 euros) but I only discovered that by accident, and he's at the beach and where you park is a mile from there. The whole process of parking a car on arrival and retrieving it on departure takes 30-45 minutes each way, at best.

Once you have dropped your baggage you then have to travel about a ten minute walk before you can park the car. Superb value!
A real gem - we were looking for a budget quadruple room and this was the only place that gave us the low price without requiring us to stay more than one night. We weren't expecting much for the price we paid but were absolutely amazed at the facilities there (TV, kitchen etc.) as well as the location, right at the bottom of the old town with terraces overlooking the sea.

The room was clean and colourful. It was advertised as having a sea view but this was an obscured view of the sea looking through a terrace at a slightly higher level. The building was interesting and quirky and the terrace itself did have a lovely view. There were steep stairs to reach the room and the owner does not stay overnight. Breakfast in the square was fine, although there is no indoor seating so in November we needed our coats to sit outside at 8am and I don't know what they do if it rains. The old town was really pleasant with cobbled streets and a good local atmosphere and the hotel is good for walking around this area. BEWARE IF TRAVELLING WITH A CAR. We found it really difficult to access this hotel with a car as the streets are very narrow & it's in a one-way system. The hotel information says there is parking 'nearby' but this turned out to be almost a kilometre away (for free parking at the harbour) or 600m away for paid parking, not our idea of 'nearby', especially late at night. (AND we almost got the car stuck in a one-way street with a ridiculously narrow road and tight right-angled bend at one end when we tried to access the harbour parking area). Neither of these car parks had any other cars in them and we ended up parking on the main street in town, getting back a few minutes before the meters started at 9am the following morning with a traffic warden already sharpening her pencil.

Dolce Vita is very well situated in the old city center and very close to the sea. It has a very nice terrasse with a beautiful sea view. But we had a awfull bed, which was nearly as had as the floor.

Good B&B, big room, but breakfast on the main place. The cafe was closed the morning so we were lucky to find someone at the receipt to have another address for the cafe. Impossible to find a parking close the B&B. We could see the street from our room.

Upside: Big room; very clean; good value; close to sights, cathedral and beach; big rooftop terrace with fabulous sea views; free fast wifi and also use of computer Downside: Hard to reach by car, antiquated/non-working fridge and air con, lots of steps up to the rooms and no lift, have to pay by cash. Overall, we liked it very much and would stay here again.
