The staff, manager was great and helpful. The property needs a lot of work. Rooms were subpar at best. Stained sheets, rooms had an order to it, the bathroom had a very strong odor to it and there was no water pressure with the shower.

We came to Caye Caulker for a day excursion off a Carnival cruise 1/23. Fell in love & came back for 3 weeks 1/24 after retiring 8/23. We chose Anchorage Beach resort for the price with great amenities. Hotel room on the beach, balcony overlooking the water, bicycles, kayaks, large pavilion with a grill, hammocks, & picnic tables, & coffee ready at 8am plus a dock with shade & sun. We loved sitting on the dock with coffee watching the pelicans & diving cormorants But what sets this property apart is the people. Delroy is the property manager. Questions, problems, recommendations, he's got the solutions! His recommendations on restaurants was spot on! Then Ricky, Delroy's right hand man, takes care of the grounds especially the beautiful flowers. Also maintenance on the bikes Ricky just helped with any issue we had. We hadn't rode a bicycle in 40 years but gave ourselves a quick refresher course as that's the best way to get around the small island. Plus housekeepers Kir & Janet, kept our room in excellent shape. It's extremely difficult not tracking in sand daily. They kept it under control. After just a few nights we knew everyone by name & they called out to us by name every morning. Personal service is what sets this property apart from the many choices on the island. We're not only coming back January 2025 for 3/4 weeks but bringing 3 couples for a week apiece. GO SLOW

Great Stay
I've visited CC many times and this was our first stay at Anchorage. We were really happy with our stay. The manager and his crew are friendly and helpful. I loved how quiet it was. As CC has grown over the years it has become much busier. Anchorage is not far from the center but it's quiet and peaceful.

Everything was great except the WiFi. I work online and depend upon WiFi for this and was unable to connect to various meetings. The WiFi was basically non functional even for small things.. this really impacted my overall experience. However, I did enjoy everything else about my stay.

Anchorage Beach Resort is not by far the nicest place to stay in Caye Caulker. There is no pool, amenities or such and the rooms are very basic. However, Delroy was very accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay including calling for taxi services. It does sit on a lovely beachfront with a dock that allows for access to swimming if you choose. It is only a few minutes walk to the restaurants and shops and about 10-15 minutes walk to The Split and Sip N Dip (the north end if the island).

Great little hotel, friendly staff and cold AC, rooms have a small balcony as well as a fridge and tv. Right on the water, but no real beach (those are few and far between on caye caulker) instead they have a nice little dock you can easily swim off of, with a shaded seating area. An easy walk to the main town but far enough that it is quiet. A great value for the price

GREAT LONG WEEKEND!
Delroy and Ricky were amazing! So welcoming, the place is so quiet and so accommodating! This part of the island is so wonderful because it is so much quieter but still very walkable, or they have bikes available! WE WILL BE BACK FOR SURE!!

This was my second time staying at The Anchorage Resort. Other than property managers nothing has changed. Yes, it’s an older hotel but it has everything you need. King size beds, air conditioning, hot shower, mini fridge, and it’s clean. I especially like that it’s away from all of the party noise down on the Main Street area. I have nothing negative to share about either of my stays at The Anchorage Resort.

The staff was hospitable. Welcoming and got us in early. They even helped set up decorations for our stay that I requested, which was very nice. The location was right on the beach so that was tons of fun as well. However the biggest issues I would say that I had were that the air conditioning didn’t work really well and that door locking system didn’t seem very safe to us. The lock was the same on both sides and you can only get out of the room with a key, which I think is a little unnerving. The shower pressure was weak and the toilet flush wasn’t that strong. Other than that it’s in a good more quite location on the island.

You get what you pay for. The location is perfect, just outside the party zone. All the rooms are beach view so relaxing on the balcony while the palms rustle is enjoyable. The rooms are basic and could use a deep clean. It's a good budget option.

If all you want is a basic room away from everything else, this is the spot for you. Their are absolutely no amenities at this property. No food, no drinks, no coffee, no pool and the “beach”/dock area is nothing to get excited about. The sargassum that is floating in the water (along with the trash) stinks. The whole property smells like sulfur, even inside your room. The property is far away from everything else which would be fine if there were any amenities on property, but there isn’t. We rented a golf cart for one day at an exorbitant price. We stayed one night and left. The guys running the property was very nice and helpful but not much he could have done to make our stay better.

I thoroughly enjoyed my week at Anchorage Beach Resort. First I will say that it’s one of the older resorts on the island but had everything I needed. Comfortable bed, cold air conditioning, hot water shower and a nice balcony to relax and enjoy the beautiful beachfront view of the Caribbean. Being a little ways away from Front Street where most of the activities and businesses are, Anchorage is nice and quiet and peaceful. It’s an easy walk along to beach to get to town. Most of my time when I’m on vacation is spent exploring so I don’t spend a lot of time in the hotel room. My room was clean and I had fresh towels every day. The price for the week was under $500 so I would say it’s a very fair price. If you’re going to Caye Caulker I would recommend looking at Anchorage Beach Resort for your accommodations. Thanks to Keith and all the staff for helping make my week on Caye Caulker a great experience! Hope to see you again soon!
