Die Balkontür öffnet den Blick zur 5x5 Meter großen Lichtöffnung, die sich ca. 10 Meter über dem Balkon befindet. Untermalt wird dieser dunkle Eindruck mit einem laufenden Kühlkompressor und einer Waschmascine im Innenhof. Der Schlagzeuger / Musiker aus dem angrenzenden Nachbarhaus (am Kopfende unseres Betts) verstummte zum Glück vor 23 Uhr. Auf dem Toilettensitz konnten wir uns Setzen, wenn wir die Duschabtrennung beiseite geschoben haben. Leider war das Zimmer 10 Grad kalt, weil nicht vorgeheizt. Il b&b è in pieno centro storico comodissimo per raggiungere tutti I luoghi di interesse. Fermata dell'autobus nelle vicinanze e ben collegata . La signora Gina è una meravigliosa padrona di casa , il suo b&b è accogliente e non manca nulla , abbondante colazione e pulizie giornaliere . When the taxi dropped me at the hotel I was very unsure. It is close to the fish market, bus and train station, and peeling paint and grafitti adorn the narrow street walls. At ground level there is just a wooden door with a small B&B sign pinned to it, but once inside marble stairs rise to the main door. The receptionist speaks very little English, but is very friendly and helpful. She even lugged my suitcase up the remaining stairs. The breakfast room is really well kitted for a cold breakfast, including cereals, various breads, fruit, yogurt, teas and a coffee machine. The spacious bedroom was decorated in sunflower colours(!). Live music placed somewhere nearby until midnight, then the streets became peacefully quiet. I was awoken by noises and voices outside my window before dawn. When I eventually ventured through the curtains I was surprised to see a fruit market right along the street. It may have been listed in the B&B details, but I hadn't taken note. I don't know if it is on very day, but it's there on Friday. Il B&B è centralissimo, nel bel mezzo del mercato di Catania, a due passi dalla piazza Duomo e di molte altre attrazioni culturali, vicino alla "piscaria" il mercato del pesce, zona piena di trattorie modeste ma con pesce freschissimo e ben cucinato in maniera semplice ma gustosissima. Ma proprio sotto le finestre del "sunflower" ci sono anche i banchi dei formaggi siciliani, una panetteria che sforna ogni giorno "pane cunzatu" e "schiacciata" buonissini e un banco che offre melanzane, peperoni e cipolle sfornate al primo mattino. ##### Giovanni Stayed 2 nights in Oct 2017 ### 10/10 Excellent #### federico 20 Sept 2017 Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, property conditions & facilities, room comfort #### Ottimo b&b nel cuore di Catania Un'ottima sistemazione per rapporto qualità prezzo nel cuore di Catania. Location da 10 attaccata a tutti i posti più importanti e caratteristici (il mercato sotto casa è spassosissimo). Gli ambienti sono spaziosi e puliti. La colazione è ok e la signora Gina è una persona solare e disponibile.
