The room is very nice and spacious. Comfortable bed and very good bathroom facilities. We didn't have the breakfast option so can't comment on that but the host is very considerate so it would probably be good It was lovely to stay in a traditional Sicilian house. 50 steps to the front door so if you aren't physically fit, this might not be for you. Close to the bus station and the train station. Can't comment on parking.

About 50 steps to get up to the room, which we didnt know. With heavy suitcases, it would have been nice to know this ahead of time. AC and lights are controlled by a key and when you leave the room, the AC turns off. Takes about 30 minutes to cool off again. Only one small mirror in entire room and towels were very rough. Breakfast is not inside the building of the B&B, you have to walk down the street to a cafe. There is an electrical shortage on the unit outside on the balcony, so we couldn't go out there. Very disappointed and would not refer anyone here.

This B+B was ok just to sleep in thats all.
The breakfast at this b+b was very poor and you had to go out to a restaurant to have breakfast. The breakfast was a hot drink, one cake, and a fruit juice this is not breakfast.

The Expedia description of this bed and breakfast says "Along with a restaurant, this bed & breakfast has a spa tub and a 24-hour front desk. Self parking is free. Other amenities include tour/ticket assistance and multilingual staff. " There is no restaurant, no hot tub, and no parking. (The owner tells you to find a space to park on the nearby streets, which took us nearly an hour as it was a Saturday evening.)The "multi-lingual staff" is the owner, who lives elsewhere and leaves the premises once all guests have arrived, so there is certainly not a 24 hour front desk. The property is difficult to find: there is no sign, just a 10cms plaque on the wall that is very easy to miss. Breakfast is just a voucher for a small coffee and croissant at a nearby café. The location is good and the rooms are fine, but the total inaccuracy of the description means you do not get what you think you have paid for.

Nice room and very centrally located.
The room was quite pleasant, though we had a smaller room and bathroom (for 3). It was cheerful and basically comfortable, with enough storage space. It will be awesome when the construction to renew the historic building is finished; as it was, our window had scaffolding outside, completely blocking our view. I had an accident shortly before my arrival, and the 52 steps to the room was quite difficult. Also, our room needed several little repairs when we arrived; they were taken care of the next day. The host and housecleaning were pleasant and polite; Carmello was informative about Catania. Breakfast was very pleasant at a nearby cafe between two main piazzas, so it was a fun spot for people watching. The location can't be beat, and served us well for our nine day stay in Catania, which involved numerous side trips.

Stayed 2 nights at this B&B. Situated on 2nd floor (called 1st floor in Italy) of a historical residential building in the very downtown of Catania. Main town square, main street, sightseeing locations are all in walking (5-10 mins max) distance. An important note - the facade and courtyard of the entire building is being renovated and there is scaffolding from ground to top floor; it could be not very pleasant to open windows and balconies at night for safety reasons. Expedia said there was free parking and breakfast included. Upon arrival we were offered to park at nearby square (5 mins walk) where we had to look for space; breakfast was arranged via a cafe on the neighboring street.

Great central location
A comfortable, clean, affordable room in a listed heritage building right in the centre of Catania. The owner Carmelo was friendly and we had everything we needed. Unfortunately the building is being renovated currently by the government so it was covered in scaffolding and there is evidence of building work in the main entrance as well. So it sort of took away from the romance I was going for on a 10th anniversary trip! Maybe check first if this bothers you. The works were not in the least bit noisy though and any noise from nearby restaurants was cancelled by the double glazed doors. Inside the pension and room it was modern and very clean and basic. The wifi worked perfectly. Good shower. Comfortable bed. Secure. All in all a bargain (we went late May) and a good base for exploring the east coast of the island by public transport or car.

A Very Comfortable Stay
The gentlemen who owned the hotel was very helpful at check in and even arranged a taxi for me to the airport. He spoke English well and took his time to make sure I was well situated before giving me my privacy. I would definitely stay here again. The rooms were spacious and clean.

Nice B&B, central location - not nice building
Very central location in a scary narrow back street with the building scaffolded and the ground floor entrance hall looking like a building site. The B&B is on the 2nd floor - marble stairs, but some of the marble pieces are loose and dragging luggage up and down without a lift is an inconvenience. The B&B itself is nice and clean, but breakfast is at a nearby cafe with croissant, coffee and juice paid for. It's nice, but not convenient and not enough breakfast. While sound insulation to the street was excellent, the internal walls were paper thin, as I could have participated in the conversation of the guests in the adjacent room and enjoy their TV show, had I spoken Italian... Still, as most people came back late at night after eating out, they mostly went to bed straight away, so not much disturbance caused. Overall, I'd recommend this B&B for adults only, not for children.

Zentrale und gute Unterkunft
Die Unterkunft liegt zentral, ein Parkplatz ist in Gehweite (ca.5 Min zu Fuss, mit dem Auto ca 15 Min 😄) öffentlich vorhanden. Der Parkplatz kostet für 2 Nächte 25 Euro. Die Unterkunft liegt im 2.Stock ohne Lift. Der Vermieter Carmelo ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Uns hat der Aufenthalt sehr gut gefallen.

God oplevelse i Catania
Vi havde en enkelt overnatning på Amenano, da vi skulle flyve hjem fra Catania. Det fungerede super godt. Det er et lille B&B på 2. sal (uden elevator). Værelset var fint og havde en hems med en ekstra soveplads, som vi dog ikke brugte. Det ligger meget centralt og med parkeringsmulighed i nærheden. Morgenmad indtages på nærliggende café. Endelig var værten meget venlig.

O quarto e a localização excelente, porém local de difícil acesso para carro. O prédio não possue elevador e a escada é bem longa (52 degraus), o que dificulta para levar as bagagens. O local não serve o café da manhã. Você recebe um voucher para tomar em local próximo um café da manha péssimo.

Ottima posizione
Bella camera, il bagno un po’ piccolo. Tutto pulitissimo. Proprietario molto cortese. Unico neo le tante scale per arrivare in appartamento con quattro valigie. Posizione ottima, si riesce a girare il centro a piedi senza dover usare l’auto.

Il proprietario del b&b, Carmelo, saprà farvi innamorare di Catania e dintorni. Eccellente padrone di casa, è molto disponibile e pronto ad accontentare i bisogni dei propri ospiti. Abbiamo soggiornato nella suite, una camera con ampio bagno e soppalco con due letti singoli, oltre al letto matrimoniale al piano. Pulizie giornaliere e accurate. Si può posteggiare in una piazza con posteggio a pagamento, a prezzo contenuto. Dista solo 10 minuti a piedi dalla struttura, che si trova nel cuore di Catania. Splendida esperienza!

Ett utmärkt B&B som ligger mitt i centrala Catania. Rummet var bra och dubbla fönster gjorde att det var tyst trots mycket sorl ute på gatan. Värden var mycket hjälpsam. Ett mycket bra alternativ vid besök i Catania.

カタニア観光うってつけ、空港へのアクセス便利
快適、オーナー気さくです。 入り口が黒い鉄の壁のようでわかりづらいです。 ホテル看板はA4サイズくらい。入り口で迷いやすいです。 入り口鍵がかかってますので、インターホンを鳴らしてください。

you can't get closer to the centre of Taormina: this B&B is right in the heart of yhe old city centre. Carmelo is very friendly and helpful. the room is spacious with high ceiling. breakfast is at a cafe around the corner. nice place!

Superzentrale Lage
Schönes B&B sehr zentral in Catania, in einem sehr tollen historischen Gebäude. Wer mit dem Mietwagen kommt dürfte ein Parkproblem bekommen. ..Fürs Frühstück haben wir einen Gutschein bekommen den wir in einem Cafe ums Eck eingelöst haben. Hat alles bestens geklappt. Wir kommen gern wieder :)

L'albergo é centrale, x questo nonostante le doppie finestre, non molto silenzioso. In questo momento lo stabile é in ristrutturazione, xció l'ingresso non é molto confortevole. Preparatevi non c'è ascensore e le camere sono al secondo piano. Le stanze sono semplici e confortevoli.

Grosses Zimmer an guter Lage in einer Baustelle
Das Amenano B&B liegt zentral in Catania. Leider befindet sich das Gebäude in einer Phase der Sanierung bzw. Umbaus und ein Ende der Bautätigkeiten ist nicht in nützlicher Frist abzusehen. Das B&B liegt im 2. Obergeschoss ohne Lift. Man schleppt also seine Koffer an Zementsäcken vorbei zur Treppe und dann zwei Geschosse hoch. Der Zimmerschlüssel ist gleichzeitig für die Stromversorgung zuständig. Da es nur einen Schlüssel gibt, hat derjenige, der im Zimmer bleiben will keinen Strom oder der andere der noch später raus gehen will kommt nicht mehr ins Gebäude rein. Das Amenano eignet sich also nur für Leute, die alles gemeinsam machen wollen.

Très bon accueil, belle chambre. A noter que l'immeuble est en travaux et que la chambre donnait sur un échafaudage.Petit moins pour 1) pas d'ascenseurs et 2)sur l'environnement de l'hôtel car dans la rue se trouve une boîte de nuit diffusant de la techno à plein tube jusqu'au milieu de la nuit avec les basses qui font sauter le plumard

Geschmackvoll renoviertes Etagenhotel in einem Wohnhaus aus dem 18.Jhdt. - das Haus (Eingangsbereich, etc.) wird nach und nach renoviert. Wir fand die authentische Unterkunft in erstklassiger Lage sehr gut und die Frühstücksvoucher für eine Traditionscafe in ein paar Minuten Fußweg eine nette Alternative zu einem faden Frühstücksraum. Eine sehr nette Unterkunft, wer kein herkömmliches Hotel erwartet. Die Anreise per PKW ist ... nun ja... ein wenig unentspannt, aber wer NAVI hat ist vielleicht besser dran.
