José and Rosa were absolutely wonderful hosts and very solicitous of anything I might need. For example, I advised Rosa that I would not be on site for breakfast since I would be leaving early to go on a tour (5am). When I left that morning, Rosa had left me a breakfast lunch to take with me so I would not be hungry! I have no problems...

"This is a beautiful and unique b&b. It is in a 1930s grand building. The ceilings are about 16 feet high, and all the classic details have been preserved. Friendly hosts. Nice breakfast. "Casa Matilda is kind of a bed and breakfast style place as it does not have a manned front desk after about 5 pm. They do have a number to call in case there is any issue, and I never actually had any issue at all. Nevertheless, the location was perfect for me as I was working a couple blocks away. "Good value apartments close to shops and bars. Nearby bus stop (L1) to the old town, get off at Carrer Palamos and head towards the nearby cathedral and the heart of the old town. Decent size lounge/diner/kitchenette, comfy sofa, comfy bed and large bathroom/dressing area. Good WiFi able to stream UK TV on a Firestick no problem. Could do with blackout blinds/persianas in bedroom rather than the living room for sleeping."
