About this property

Casale Dionisia, an apartment surrounded by nature with ocean views and sustainable comfort

  • Casale Dionisia, nestled in the Cilento countryside, is situated in a peaceful, panoramic location halfway up a hill between the historic centre of Castellabate and the Santa Maria Marine Protected Area—a UNESCO World Heritage Site—on a private estate with ocean views.
It is the ideal place for those seeking a peaceful and completely relaxing holiday; for those who love discovering enchanting destinations and wish to enjoy authentic experiences in contact with nature, the local people, history, and traditions.

🌞 A sustainable farmhouse, in harmony with nature
The property was designed according to ecological criteria:

    electricity comes from photovoltaic panels,

hot water is produced by solar thermal panels,

and thermal and acoustic insulation reduces energy consumption and ensures comfort in every season.

The choice of materials—natural wood, local stone, and handcrafted ceramics—honours Cilento tradition and promotes sustainable architecture that blends seamlessly into the landscape.

🦋 A wild garden that preserves biodiversity
The outdoor spaces are tended as a semi-wild Mediterranean garden, where native plants, olive trees, pergolas, and shaded areas create a natural habitat for butterflies, bees, and small local animals.

The Vegetable Garden and botanical trails allow guests to discover the rich flora of Cilento through a sensory and relaxing experience.
The natural lawn invites moments of tranquility, while the outdoor shower is perfect for when you return from the beach.

🏡 The Rosmarino apartment, arranged on a single level, measures 70 square metres and consists of a kitchen-living room, two spacious bedrooms, and a full bathroom; it also features a private entrance and a wooden porch with a sea view, furnished with a table and chairs for dining or relaxing outdoors; a reserved parking space and ample outdoor space.

The apartment is decorated in soft, muted tones, welcoming you into an elegant and bright space: the living room features a sofa, TV, dining table, and kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with a hob, range hood, electric oven, coffee maker, refrigerator, freezer, pots, and dishes. The two bedrooms are spacious and feature large windows: one bedroom is furnished with a double bed, nightstands, a chest of drawers, and a walk-in closet; there is also the option to add a rollaway bed or a cot. The second bedroom is furnished with two single beds, a nightstand, and a large closet. The private bathroom includes a washing machine, shower, sink, toilet, bidet, and hair dryer. The apartment’s wall and floor tiles, as well as those in the kitchen and bathroom, are made of high-quality Vietri ceramics.

The interiors, finished with natural materials and soft colours, evoke the style of traditional Cilento homes, reinterpreted in a modern and sustainable way.

    📍 Location and Surroundings
Although located in the countryside, the farmhouse is about 400 metres from restaurants, pizzerias, bars, supermarkets, butcher shops, and a pharmacy.
Just a few minutes’ drive away are:

Santa Maria Marine Protected Area (3 km),

    Punta Licosa (6 km),

Historic Village of Castellabate (4 km),

    Paestum (18 km),

    Velia (35 km).

Its central location within the Cilento National Park makes it easy to explore beaches, trails, villages, and archaeological sites.

The Cilento region thus becomes a place to forge authentic connections with nature; with its highly varied natural beauty, it encompasses inland hilly and mountainous areas rich in natural, historical, and artistic features, as well as a rugged coastline with cliffs plunging into the sea interspersed with long sandy beaches. The flora, which forms the backbone of the landscape, is abundant and diverse, comprising many species of great beauty and charm, as well as being of great scientific importance due to the presence of botanical species unique in the world. The Cilento region is home to a significant number of plant species. Approximately 2,200 wild vascular plants have been recorded there, representing over 30% of Italy’s total flora and about 60% of the region’s flora. Of these, about 10% are of considerable phytogeographic importance, as they are endemic and/or rare. It is no coincidence that the Cilento, Vallo di Diano, and Alburni National Park has adopted a plant as its symbol—one of the most beautiful and rarest in the entire Mediterranean region: Primula palinuri Petagna—precisely to highlight the exceptional nature of its flora.
