Beachside Hotel on West Coast

Posted 21-Oct-2017
Pros: Staff were particularly friendly and helpful.
Location: Sunsets, walking, Guernsey Glass alongside the hotel. I hired a car as originally from the island and wanted to visit all the sights and my relatives.
Hotel close to the beach (went to sleep hearing the waves lapping/crashing on the sand), on the west coast of Guernsey. Great restaurant for all meals from full English breakfast to a wide range of lovely tasty evening meals (including Tennerfest). Bedroom facilities very good, the bed was very comfortable. No complaints and would recommend this hotel.

Great hotel

Posted 18-Sep-2017
Pros: Great sunsets.
Cons: Lighting of sign -the hotel is among other buildings & hard to see at 1st pass at dusk if one is concentrating on the water washing over the seawall.
Location: Not in a walkable location for sights. But a quick drive from everywhere.
The staff was friendly, efficient and very helpful. Parking is difficult due to having to back out of the driveway onto a busy road to go to the lot after unloading luggage. Arriving at dusk and high tide I had the unfortunate anxiety of worrying about the water washing over the seawall to deal with.

Very good stay

Posted 14-Sep-2017
Pros: See above
Cons: See above
Location: Excellent location next to the sea and next door to a very good pub/restaurant. Frequent bus service will take you anywhere on the island.
Lovely location, comfortable room, big bed, lovely breakfast, friendly and helpful staff. Downside - very limited parking and on Friday no hot water and our room wasn't serviced - obviously an uncharacteristically bad day. That said the lack of hot water was remedied while we had breakfast. We shall definitely return when we visit Guernsey again.

Hotel near to beach nice and quiet area.

Posted 08-Sep-2017
Hotel was not what was expected, If you wanted anything it came at a cost, The area is exceptional and the only way to travel round the island is by bus as any trip long or short is a £1 and they run every 20 minutes, The stops are frequent and short distances from each other.

Contemporary hotel right by the beach.

Posted 27-Aug-2017
Pros: The standard of cleanliness and comfort.
Cons: Some light bulbs had failed but were not immediately replaced.
Location: This is a beach hotel with safe swimming and plenty of sand for kids to enjoy. The entire island has many attractions to visit but you do need a car.
This 3-star enterprise could easily be taken to be 4-star. Staff were courteous and nothing was too much trouble. The food was good and the choice of breakfast, either hot or cold, was excellent. There was some outside background noise from hotel operating systems but not enough to disturb peaceful sleep in a comfortable bed. The only drawback was the very limited parking space for guests' cars so some had to be left a short distance away from the main building but not at any risk. Overall, a very pleasant experience with the beach only yards away. Highly recommended.

Great location

Posted 17-Aug-2017
Pros: Location. Friendly staff. Good breakfast and lovely meal in the alacart restaurant
Cons: Room was too warm - maybe something to do with the construction?
Location: Good location and access to beach..
Really nice hotel and friendly staff. Great to sit outside and watch the sunset whilst having a beer. Only issue we had was that our room was very warm even though the daily temp was only about 20 C - even with the window open all day and night. We stayed in room 211

Pros: The staff were friendly and the rooms were comfortable and clean.
Location: There are other beaches a few minutes away and there are easy walks along the coast from the hotel. There were bikes and water activities nearby.
Staff were friendly and helpful, with info on transportation and activities. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Check in and out was quick and easy and the bar downstairs was friendly. The concert on the Sunday was great, with lots of islanders there and the two bands that played were brilliant. The sunsets were beautiful and the beach is across the road. There are other beaches within walking distance.
