In a great position by the sea. Flat coastal walks

Posted 27-May-2016
Pros: Very clean and comfortable rooms.seaside location
Cons: Service in dining room. See above.
Beautiful clean hotel. However had to wait far too long for our dinner on first night's stay. The mussels were a bit dry and small. Not the freshest. Breakfast buffet very good but often not much choice or anything left (pastries and fresh fruit) if you arrive for breakfast after 9am. Could replenish dishes.

Close to beach

Posted 19-Mar-2016
Pros: Nice easy relaxed atmosphere.
Location: The location was perfect for walking
Came for a quiet break and to walk the coast, need to come back to finish and to visit Sark. Fantastic views and weather. The staff were fantastic especially the restaurant staff, they were wonderful. Met some great friendly people from Guernsey and the UK. Was rescued by a great young man when I was lost, he kindly took me to the airport to catch a bus back to Cobo bay. Thanks to you all..

Ruhiges Haus direkt an der Küste

Posted 04-Oct-2015

Nice Hotel in a Lovely Beach Location.

Posted 29-Sep-2015
Pros: We liked mostly everything about the hotel, location, room, food and friendliness of staff.
Cons: Just the noise of the generator located outside our room.
Location: Location was great. Brilliant bus service, only £1.00 per journey. Great walks on the beach. Saumarez Nature Trail to Saumarez Park is lovely.
A very comfortable room in a lovely hotel. The staff were very friendly and attentive during mealtimes. The ladies on reception were helpful when we had any queries. The food was so good that (even though it was quite pricey) we decided to eat in the hotel restaurant with the exception of one night at The Rockford next door (disappointing service, greasy food). The only nit pick I would have is about the generator which was a bit noisy first thing in the morning though reasonably quiet at night. This was located just outside the bedroom window on the roof. We would have rated the hotel a full five stars otherwise.

Nice hotel with a few negatives

Posted 23-Sep-2015
Nice hotel with very polite and professional staff who were very helpfull when we had 3 extra days there due to ferry cancellations. It is set in a lovely bay right on the sea front, unfortunately there is limited car parking. There is a bar restaurant next door which is handy, but that causes a lot of noise in the early hours. The overall experiance was good.

Cobo Bay Hotel - a great holiday

Posted 21-Sep-2015
Pros: Almost everything - the breakfasts were particularly good.
Cons: Perhaps a few less expensive lighter items on the menus. After the superb breakfast, not too heavy a meal was needed later in the day.
Location: Great seaside location handy for German Occupation Museum, Aquarium, mini golf at Oatlands, visit to the gold and silversmiths, walks on the beach.
We were really impressed with every aspect of the hotel. The room had a beautiful view of the sea, a balcony and a very well equipped bathroom with glorious soft fluffy towels. The bed was extremely comfortable and we had everything we needed in the room. There were individual touches which we also appreciated, like the newspaper being in a bag attached to the outside door handles and the 'do not disturb' and' make the room up' cloth hangers, so much nicer than a plastic sign. The cream teas were delicious as were the two meals we had in the fine dining restaurant. The meals in the Sports Bar were also good.
