While this back-and-forth went on, he was audibly cruel to one of his employees -- in Moroccan dialect he indicated to him, "I don't care if you have another job; if you want to get paid tomorrow you will show up \[much earlier than you are being paid for\]." He was rude across the board, took forever to verify that we had already booked the room, and gave us what must be the worst room in the "hotel" (if you do resort to staying there, don't accept room #15). It was full of bugs, turning on the sink caused the floor to get covered with water; the windows don't close all the way because there are guide wires attached to them holding up the hotel's sign; and there is no way to make the room dark at night.
