"We thought the host was exceptional. Very friendly and helpful. Wanting to please and help any way she could. We had to arrive late and she waited for us to arrive. Our room was very clean as was the bathroom. She did offer to wash up some clothes for us as we are traveling on the road. I did notice the laundry as one of the amenities however to us that means an available washed and dryer to use. Understanding now here in Italy that means a washing machine and hang to dry. For us just getting to...

"We had a wonderful stay at this B&B. The home is gorgeous and the owners are incredibly friendly and helpful. They even provided us with suggestions on places to tour and visit for the time we were there. Additionally, asked where we were traveling and provided us suggestions for those cities as well. We appreciated all their guidance. Made our stay so much nicer by having local knowledge. Highly recommend this place for your visit to Taranto."

Dimora Lucia Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"Great location if you have a car, just few minutes from the city. Leave the hotel and turn right drive 1km and you’ll find a public parking to explore the city, near the parking there’s a great bakery called adua. Easy to travel to other cities like Locorotondo, Alberobello and Cisternino."

Excl Five Acres Villa, Trulli & Gorgeous 12x6 Pool - AC -WiFi - Valle d'Itria

10/10 Excellent

"Beautiful Villa to enjoy a very unique region in Italy. Alex was very engaged and helpful from the booking through checkout. Alessia was warm and friendly for local support. Great connection to a lovely local restauranteur (and a friend of Alex) to host our group of seven for a fun cooking class. The owner's there Angela and Allesandro were great people. Alex the property host made us treated us like friends. Thanks for a great stay."

Beautifully restored late 18th Century Trullo, close to Cisternino and Ostuni

10/10 Excellent

"The property is well off SP16 and so is very quiet. We had an issue with the water at first, but the property manager took care of it ASAP. It's very convenient to many of the small hill towns and the coast is not very far away. What a treat to stay in this trulli!"

Park Hotel San Michele

10/10 Excellent

"Park Hotel San Michele is situated in Martina Franca, a short walk from the town's lovely historic center and many restarants and coffe shops. Though it is situated in the center, the hotel and garden offer a quiet respit fron this bustling town. Enjoying the pool, garden and loby was wonderful. The included breakfast was very nice, served in a beautiful hall or on the lovely terrace. Staff was helpful and welcoming. Rooms were recently renovated, immaculately clean."

Stunning Trullo with Aircon, Large Pool & Wi-Fi - 5 bedrooms 4 bathrooms

8/10 Good

"Very nice 'Trullo' with 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms and a beautiful pool, BUT .....! A. Kitchen: plus: big fridge, oven, equipment, large dinner table. minus: no microwave, no Nespresso (but a Lavazza, only for Lavazza coffee..mwah), the lights are fewB. Bedrooms: plus: all of them (5) are large, nice bathrooms (4), good matrasses; minus: beds are 190 cm, showerpressure is not always goodC. Swimming pool: plus: a fenced large pool, with a 'walk-in' and kidfriendly undeep area; lots of nice restchairs in the shade; minus: the undeep area is less suitable for swimmingD: Location: plus: far from the busy towns, in a beautiful countryside, at night no noise; minus: 15 minute drive for fresh bread, fruit etc, or to a restaurant; E: Outside: Plus; nice big table and sitting area; MINUS: the dogs! on several evenings we were visited by one (very big) dog or even two; the dogs were not aggressive, but they came (out of the dark) unexpected and suddenly stood an inch off your face! That was scary. They did not let them be sent away, they kept coming back (though of course we did not feed them anything). They took a slipper, tried to steal food from the table and jumped against you... Some of us were afraid and fled inside (we also had a baby, who happily was asleep at night). But the dogs one time stayed the whole night and were there with breakfast, so the baby could not go outside. This seems to happen more often. If i would have known before, i would not have come here."

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Casa Galeone?

The best area to stay in Casa Galeone is the historical centre, particularly around Piazza del Popolo and Corso Vittorio Emanuele, which offer a delightful blend of authentic Puglian life and convenient access to local attractions.

This area is the heart of Casa Galeone, characterised by its narrow, winding streets, traditional white-washed buildings, and a relaxed pace of life. Piazza del Popolo is the main square, a natural gathering spot with outdoor cafes and the impressive Clock Tower. Corso Vittorio Emanuele is the main thoroughfare, lined with local shops, bakeries, and restaurants serving regional specialities.

Couples will find the historical centre particularly appealing for its romantic setting. Evening strolls through the prettily lit streets, enjoying an aperitivo in Piazza del Popolo, and dining in intimate local trattorias create a memorable experience. The proximity to the Castle and the main cathedral also makes it easy to explore on foot.

For families, staying near the historical centre offers the convenience of being close to everything without the need for constant travel. Children can enjoy the open space of the piazza, and parents will appreciate having food options, gelato shops, and local markets within easy reach.

When is the best time to go to Casa Galeone?

The best time to go to Casa Galeone is during the shoulder seasons, specifically May, early June, or September.

These months offer pleasant weather for exploring Puglia without the intense heat and crowds of the peak summer months. You'll find the temperatures warm enough for swimming and enjoying outdoor activities, typically ranging from 20°C to 28°C, and the region's attractions are less busy, allowing for a more relaxed experience.

For travellers who enjoy water activities and sunbathing, early June and September are particularly appealing. The sea temperatures are comfortable for swimming, usually around 22-24°C, and you can still enjoy the beaches without the August rush. It's an excellent time for couples looking for a romantic escape as well as families seeking a more relaxed holiday before or after the school summer break.

If you're more interested in cultural excursions, exploring historical towns, and enjoying local cuisine, May is an ideal choice. The countryside is lush, and the weather is superb for walking or cycling.
