This home sleeps 8 Guests. A sense of calm and refinement captivate you as you enter this elegantly-appointed 2,282-square-foot home in the heart of Carmel-by-the-Sea. Set on a spacious, meticulously-landscaped lot with fenced front and back yards, this 3-bedroom, 2.5-bath home offers both privacy and proximity to all that this charming seaside village has to offer. Living Spaces The spaciousness of this luxury home’s main floor is enhanced by vaulted ceilings adorned with rich, dark wood beams and trestles, and ample windows and skylights that invite in the natural light. The living room is expansive yet comfortable with furniture in neutral tones and a handsome rug that adds color and warmth. The gas fireplace is surrounded by Carmel stone and a 55” TV with cable is mounted above the mantel. Double French doors open onto the welcoming front stone patio. Set with six chairs around a gas fire pit with plumbed propane, it’s the perfect spot to sit and soak up the sun or bask in the warmth of the fire. Well-equipped for extended stays! A half-bath is just off the living room/dining room for convenience. Kitchen and Dining The spacious, gourmet kitchen features stone countertops and Viking appliances. A built-in microwave as well as Keurig and drip coffee makers, an electric tea kettle and a toaster are also at the ready. The large center island seats 2 and is an ideal gathering spot for preparing meals or entertaining. Ask us about A Party for Your Palette—a local chef service that can cook with you or for you. It’s a great way to explore local cuisine while enjoying time with family and friends. The living room flows seamlessly into the dining room that features a solid wood table with 8 chairs. French doors open onto a small deck where you’ll find a gas grill conveniently plumbed with propane and access to the lower back patio with dining table and chairs. When you want to dine out, you'll have many local options for exceptional fare. Bedrooms and Bathrooms Luxury linens, towels and amenities are provided. Upstairs along with the living spaces, Bedroom #1 is a primary suite featuring a king-size bed, 48” TV with Comcast cable, a gas fireplace and a walk-in closet. French doors open onto a balcony that overlooks a stone patio. Pamper yourself in the spa-like en suite bath that features a large soaking tub, roomy shower, dual vanities and a separate water closet. Two guest bedrooms and the den are located on the lower level: Bedroom #2 - King bed. Bedroom #3 - Queen bed. Each guest bedroom has plush carpet and access to the back patio. The den/media room has a queen sleeper sofa, a 65” TV and a kitchenette with a wine fridge, sink and a microwave. The downstairs bathroom has a shower-over tub combination. It’s a short walk to downtown where you’ll find wine tasting venues, gourmet grocers and delis, world-class restaurants, shops and art galleries. Catch a performance at the historic Sunset Center or outdoor Forest Theater. Stroll down Ocean Avenue and visit nearby beaches. Off-street parking for 1-2 cars on the stone-paved driveway. On-street parking is generally available in front of the home. The garage is not available to guests. Laundry room with washer and dryer. Reviewer Comments: Lucky Lotus was the perfect home for a month-long stay in Carmel this winter. It is a beautiful property with fenced in yards in both the front and back -- perfect for dogs. The rooms and decor were lovely, and the beds were super comfortable. Plenty of room to live on the main floor, but guests had total privacy in the lower level, with two bedrooms, a bathroom and a roomy den of their own. We walked to the beach (9 blocks downhill) and to downtown Carmel (7 blocks) daily, meeting lots of friendly people and dogs. Sanctuary Vacation Rentals was always available to support our stay whenever any little thing came up. Lucky Lotus was a great blend of casual luxury and comfort with a true (but roomy) Carmel cottage feel -- as pretty as it looks in the photos -- and I'd highly recommend it to others. ##### Dana B. Reviewer Comments: We have always loved Carmel but the past 3 years have been particularly magical due to our rental home Lucky Lotus. We both love to cook and the kitchen is fully equipped with high end amenities with everything from the best appliances to the cookware, cutlery and serving & leftover containers. The ensuite master on the main floor is like being in a luxury hotel with robes and lots of towels. We could be found by the fireplace in the bedroom and living room whenever we were not at the firepit in the zen front yard where we loved having coffee and cocktails. The 2 downstairs bedrooms and tv room housed our many guests who could walk out to the back yard from their floor. Though we did not use it this year, there is a Weber grill available outside the dining room.Anytime something was needed the Sanctuary Rental team were on it. They sent maintenance to fix our non latching MBR door and the city of Carmel to cut down a large precarious branch from a tree out front. The city Tuesday up the limb the same day as the call and sent a bucket truck the next morning to remove it. We love Lucky Lotus. ##### Jan M. It was the cleanest, most comfortable and well-stocked rental we have ever stayed in. The location was perfect- just a short, mostly flat walk to town which our family did twice each day. The front yard was ideal for our small children, as it was fully enclosed. The only thing that could have possibly made it better was storage for larger items like bikes, strollers, wagons etc., as the garage was locked for the owners. Reviewer Comments: We have had the pleasure of staying in the Lucky Lotus home on Mission street for the month of September. This was by far the best rental experiences we have enjoyed in Carmel by the Sea. The following comments are provided as helpful feedback to the rental company and the home owner.- \[ \] The home was spotless and the gardens were enjoyed by us and our guests on a daily basis. The fire pit was a great plus.- \[ \] The linens, towels, robes and bath and kitchen supplies provided made us feel as if we were in a high end hotel.- \[ \] The kitchen was a draw for us and the silver and glassware were so much better than we expected. The cookware and storage containers and accessories were as nice as what I would have in my own home. We enjoy martinis so we bought 6 glasses (lost one during our stay) and a shaker. They were left for future renters and the owners.- \[ \] The laundry room was well equipped and all of the appliances there and in the kitchen were top of the line.- \[ \] The mid stay cleaning was perfect and we cleaned all sheets and towels after each of our guests.- \[ \] The supplies for the bathroom and kitchen were ample to get us started with our perfect stay. ##### Sebastian G.
