"Cottage has everything you need, however I wouldn't let my dogs or children swim in the lake as it looked disgusting, the promised dog shower has been removed so we couldn't shower our dogs. The cottage is in the middle of a working farm & although we didn't mind listening to the tractors & farm animals it was spoilt a little when one of the dogs was howling next door. "There was black mould in bedroom 3 and in the bathroom. This meant we had to move the bed as black mould is dangerous. The fridge was off when we arrived and took a long time to chill. There were no teaspoons. No hand towels anywhere and the bed springs had gone in 2 beds. The sheets were so old they were rough and bobbly. Communication with the owner was only by email so we couldn’t call him. We emailed the owner twice to get the full address of the property which was only given to us as we...

"A wonderfully historic house with an equally wonderful garden, location and views. So very peaceful. Only a quick drive to Launceston for provisions. Everyone said their beds were comfortable. Lots of games for the garden and indoor board games for family fun. It was hard to drag ourselves away to go enjoy all the fun things to do in the area. The owner provided a very comprehensive list."

"We had a lovely time. It is on a working farm so be prepared for smells and very narrow roads. We had several encounters with tractors on single lane tracks."

"Love the location … for the obvious and some personal reasons. The description of this property is spot on. You couldn’t wish for a more perfect location and the overall space is wonderful. Yes, the building is tired and the general standard of fixtures, fittings and furnishing isn’t what you would expect for the cost. But if, like us, it’s all about the view and the perfect location, it more than makes up for downsides. Thanks to Rupert for helping us have a truly memorable stay."

"Property overall a lovely place and great location to access places in the area. Pub/ restaurant on site and local shop. It states that there is a hot tub, This shouldnt be advertised as there is a hot tub because there isint. This didnt effect us and our stay but some people may look for this as a option and with it stating there is a hot tub, Unfortunately its false advertisement. Overall a good stay and wouldnt put us of staying again but the discrption needs to be changed."

Welcoming touches that we appreciated very much such as tea, milk and the bubbly to celebrate our boys off to Uni and the start of our holiday. The house was great for 2 families enough room to spread out being on different levels, some reading on the fantastic deck area, some in the lounge others chatting on the deck out by the kitchen. "Very good, picturesque location. Wonderful side trips available. Minack Theatre, Lost Gardens of Heligan, Eden Project, St Michael’s Mount. Lots of little quaint towns to visit. Recommend the Mermaid Inn& Gwenna’s tea shop. Fascinating beach walks & rugged coastal walks abound. Host was very amenable."

"The house was very small but beautifully appointed. Parking at the top of a hill may cause problems for some but a slightly longer walk was much flatter and we took the car halfway down the hill to unload. All the rooms were decorated with love and both the living room and bedroom were very comfortable. The welcome pack was lovely too. The location was great, with pasties, beer and other treats on the doorstep. Highly recommend, so long as you’re okay with stairs."
