Our favourite Welsh hotel.

Posted 07-Nov-2016
Location: A golf resort and health spa with facilities that cater for all. Close to Newport and Cardiff with all that these lively cities provide.
The hotel provides a high quality relaxed atmosphere. Its location close to city life but with a real feel of the countryside provides a quiet relaxed stay with a great range of amenities both on site and nearby. Its a sporting venue but it has plenty for all tastes. Put simply you get all the benefits of luxury without the stuffiness and restrictions found in equivalent standard hotels.

Amazing hotel and staff, perfect night

Posted 01-Nov-2016
Location: Right on the m4 but I think this is the sort of hotel you make the most of.
Hotel has everything you could want and staff can't do enough for you. I'd recommend it to anyone

Disappointing. Mutton dressed as lamb.

I was actually disappointed. We were told we had to leave a £50 credit card charge in case of sundries etc on checking in but there was no mention of this on booking. We were told we wouldn't be able to check in without it. Good job I took my credit card then as the trip had already been paid for, I didn't think I'd need it! We were told yhe money would come out immediately but take 10 days to go back if we didn't use it. That's a lot of £50 they're keeping hold of for 10 days if they're taking that from every patron. At dinner we were sat by the waiters station, so were right next to other patrons dirty dishes and the waiters scraping food into the bin. It costs too much to be sitting next to that!! It's not worth the money. I doubt I'd go back.

Great hotel with many positives such as service, grounds, facilities etc. Disappointed to find out nowhere on site had availability for dinner;it would have been useful to have been told early booking was necessary.

nice but not perfect

room spacious and comfy. bathroom felt dated and a shower head in the bath would be handy for rinsing hair. breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice.
