What a wonderful house in a gorgeous neighborhood. The house was pure perfection. It was so clean, and it had everything we needed, and then some. We will definitely be back when in the area again.
This is a great house. Plenty of room to spread out, nicely furnished, fully equipped kitchen, and some nice amenities. It is close to the road, so road noise outside is a factor but the interior is quiet because of good construction and insulation. The highlight of this property is the access to so many acres of private trails and fishing areas. We LOVED taking family walks multiple times a day. A truly special location, with good access to Aspen, Carbondale, and anything you could need.
Our stay at the house at the Ranch at the Roaring Fork in Carbondale was perfect. The house was spacious and very well designed for a family. The reclining chairs and sofa in the living room were comfy and great for watching the World Cup soccer and playing games with our family. The kitchen had everything we needed and was clean and well organized. The beds upstairs were just as described, very comfortable and we had more beds than we needed for our family of 4. They even had a strong portable gate for us to use at the top of the stairs. The outdoor space was also beautiful with a lovely view and a hot tub and gas fireplace. The host was very responsive and easy to contact and the electronic entry made it very convenient. We loved the outdoor games he provided in the garage as well as the ping pong table. We hope to return again when we visit our family who have a condo there.
Darren was a great host. Very responsive, answering questions in great depth. The place was beautiful and well maintained. Comfy beds and wonderful living room. We would definitely stay there again!
Great location for family ski trip to the Aspen resorts. SIgnificantly better value that those closer which are smaller and more expensive. Given free parking and shuttles near the resorts, staying further out makes sense
Clean, roomy, little touches like great sheets, lots of towels, shampoos, tissue boxes everywhere, comfy chairs, fireplace. Easy to communicate with owner.
Hi
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving in this house. The house accommodate the 7 of us with a lot of space. We made great memories for all the family and friends!
We absolutely loved staying at your house, Darren! Very clean, with everything you may need to serve and cook included, as well as plenty towels and linens. Owner very easily accessible via text, great communication. Thank you for letting us stay at your place!
Wow. Surprised. What a great location. A block of highway 82. Easy ride to all Aspen mountains .9 miles from Glenwood Springs sulphur pools and great dining .
The home was as advertised. Well appointed, clean, modern, and perfect place to call home-away-from-home. Owner was extremely easy to communicate with and very helpful with questions. The house is close to Hwy 82 which can be noisy with windows open, but this was only "negative" about the home or location. I would and do plan on staying here again in the future!
Beautiful neighborhood, easy access to lots of sights and good location. House is amazing. Beds are comfy! Kitchen was well stocked! We were sad to have run out of regular coffee and wished the hot tub had a fence around it so we didn't feel as exposed. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. Would recommend it to anyone it would come back!
This house in Carbondale was about equidistant between Glenwood Springs and Aspen. The house was well-appointed, spacious and was perfect for the 9 people in our group.
We enjoyed walking around the neighborhood to the river. There are both Whole Foods and City Market (Kroger) within a 10-minute drive of the house, and we also stopped at the Costco in Gypsum on the way in.
The only thing that was a bit of a bummer was that there was only 1 light in the back where the hot tub is, and that wasn't working. So we did not get to use the hot tub.
All in all, we wished we'd booked longer, three days wasn't enough to enjoy all the nearby summer activities.
Place was fully stocked - even provided a crock pot! Lots of nice features and amenities. Host replied to messages in a timely matter.
A couple of suggestions:
I was a little thrown back by the multi page list of laminated rules (some of which were outdated and I had to text to see if they were in effect) and having to sign an additional document with the HOA. I think it would benefit future guests to put all rules in the listing so guests can decide if this is the home for them.
Worth noting also that the fold out futon in the office is very short so if you are over 5’5” it’s probably not an option to sleep on.
And the guest bedroom upstairs facing the highway should have curtains in the two high windows. Car headlights going down the highway and road out front makes it difficult to get good sleep with all the lights flooding the room at night.
Thanks otherwise for a great stay.
