Die Zimmer sind klasse, das Personal freundlich, also tagsüber alles perfekt, aber... Ein Hotel dient in erster Linie zur Übernachtung, also zum Schlafen. Und dies ist im Urban Chic so gut wie nicht möglich. Zwar sollte bei der Buchung klar sein, dass die Long Street eine belebte Partymeile ist und es ruhigere Ecken in Kapstadt gibt, aber hier befindet sich gegenüber ein Club, der täglich (!) bis 3:00Uhr bei offenen Fenstern und Türen laute Musik und Bässe verursacht. Die Fenster sind nicht schallgeschützt und daher besteht vor Disco-Ende absolut keine Chance auf Nachtruhe. Das Personal ist sich dessen bewusst und verteilt Plugins für die Ohren. Wer damit klar kommt, dem sei das Hotel empfohlen. This hotel we booked as situated in city center of CT . We had nice room with nice table Mountain View - this was the only plus !! No one has told us this hotel is on the busiest and not really safe street in CT. Also that in front of this hotel are two big CLUBS one of them called PLANET, which start playing SOOOOO LOUD music DAILY from 8 pm till early morning ! You are not able sleep as you hear everything and as I said loud music and loud drunk ppl - till 3-4 am daily !!! At the reception we have received earplugs ( never used these for sleeping ) - during whole stay in CT we had to use them if we would like get a bit of sleep ! A luxurious hotel. Loved the room space and breakfadt. Two draw backs 1\. The location! To the hotels credit they offer earplugs, but I find them uncomfortable. So didn't sleep due to party revellers in Long street. Secondly, the kettle in the room was so dirty, I was put off making myself a cup of coffee. Nice Hotel, Difficult to enter through the rotating door with luggage. Service and room was good, good view from the room and it was nice that parking was included at no extra cost. Only thing that was annoying about the parking was that the keycards did not work to enter the hotel from the parking and you have to walk outside the hotel onto the street before using the main entrance. Biggest dislike for the stay was the constant noise from the road right until 3am, even after the bars closed people were screaming and talking loudly and spinning tyres which disturbed our sleep.
