Très bon accueil, personnel super sympa, déjeuner très bien. Pour la chambre, ce ne sont pas les plus belles, mais suffisent. Malheureusement la piscine était hors service alors que nous souhaitons un hôtel pour trois nuits avec piscine pour terminer notre séjour de deux semaines en Afrique du Sud. A 1 Minutes à pied du bord de l’océan. Petit bémol, pour le parking il y a deux places l’une derrière l’autre sinon c’est à moitié sur le trottoir dans la rue. Il faut s’arranger avec les autres personnes pour ne pas être bloqué avec son propre véhicule. The BNB was not what it looked like in the pictures on this website. The site is very deceiving. The TV's did not work in any of my co workers rooms for the entire duration of our 3 day trip. My door would not lock and the rooms were not maintained or services appropriately. The parking was not secure parking as there was no lock up parking which was stipulated in the description of facilities. An older property in a nice area of Cape Town. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. The location is excellent with several bus routes that run to the city centre very close by. Our room was large with a balcony with a sea view (just). It was well equipped with a refrigerator and all the amenities that you would expect in a decent hotel. There was ok wifi in the reception area but not in the room. Breakfast was quite good and cooked to order. The only criticism is that the rooms are a bit shabby and cleanliness is not their strong point. For instance there was mould around the bath which i was easily able to wipe off - clearly the cleaners had missed it. It was acceptable but could have been better. Overall, I was pleased we stayed here but I think it was expensive for what it provided although I do recognise that Cape Town accommodation is not cheap. ##### David ### 8/10 Good #### Nan, worldwide flexpats 3 Apr 2016 Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, property conditions & facilities, room comfort #### Old fashioned service in a charming guest house The room was beautifully decorated and very, very comfortable (great bed, soft sheets, good towels and bath, etc.). The cooked to order breakfast was wonderful. But most of all, the innkeeper was extremely focused on the happiness of guests. He took it upon himself to talk to each guest, to help with logistics, to make everything work very smoothly. You don't get innkeepers like that in the age of the big hotel chain! This is the 3rd review that I have written about my experience at the Enchanted Guest Hotel in Cape Town, South Africa. After traveling a day and 1/2 from New York City, I arrived at the hotel to find that the front gate was locked. I rang the bell for 20 minutes, called for someone to come to the gate to let me in to register, AND ,also telephoned the front desk; however, none of my efforts resulted in any person arriving to check me into the hotel. As a result, I had to then look for another hotel for my stay!
