Walnut Tree Cottage was originally the village school house built in the 1870's and now a comfortable and newly converted home situated in the Kent Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Within walking distance of the village supermarket, pharmacy and 3 good pubs, this is the perfect place for a family holiday or weekend getaway with friends. Please note our lovely garden is shared with the guests in the cottage next door. 5 mins to Canterbury, 60 mins from London and 27 mins from the Eurotunnel exit. 10% discount for weekly bookings.

Enjoyable stay
Lovely place to stay, spotlessly clean. Host was very welcoming and unobtrusive. Location great for dog walks in the picturesque countryside, whilst also close to Canterbury and the coast. Pubs just a short walk … Red Lion very good for Food & drink. The only thing that could have improved it would have been more sunshine.

Perfect in every way
Had a lovely 5 day break in this beautiful area with our daughter and grandson.The icing on the cake being our grandson's graduation at Canterbury Cathedral. The cottage is lovely.No expense has been spared on the renovation. Had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. The gardens are a real bonus. Sat out in the deckchairs most evenings enjoying the peace and quiet.

Fantastic few days
Just returned from Walnut cottage and for us the place was perfect. Our two dogs loved the massive garden and the local walks, we loved the fact that the village was only a two minute walk so pubs and a few shops were just around the corner. James was very helpful and told us about all the local walks and place’s of interest. Our dogs love the beach so we drove to Dumpton gap and walked to Ramsgate, we also visited Botany bay. Weather was fantastic so really made this break memorable. Thank you James, hope to see you again.

Lovely Propety
James was a superb host and the cottage is in a perfect spot, close to Canterbury and just minutes from great local pubs and shops. The cottage has a lovely homely feel, with the wood burner a nice touch. The bathrooms were great with super showers…. So everything you need for a home away from home. We noted that James addressed previous reviews with the addition of an additional comfy sofa in the lounge area. Would recommend

The property was ideal. We loved walking and shopping in the days then coming home, lighting the wood burner and drinking gin and tonic in the evenings. Perfect!
