Full of character and great memorabilia, it is fun to go through the old books and annuals on the shelves. Well equipped, nicely decorated and warm, you feel at home very quickly. The owners live next door and are friendly, welcoming and very helpful if you need assistance. Highly recommended. Waltham is a very small village in a quiet country location so a car is absolutely necessary then its pretty easy to get to most parts of Kent within 1 hours travelling. Jane and Hugh are caring hosts who made sure we had all we needed during our stay. Jane has added school related items to the decor which harks back to when it actually was a school room - a nice touch we thought. The mobile signal in Waltham (as in a lot of rural Kent) is poor to non existent but the provided WiFi is good. There's a small private garden for guests with table, chairs and a BBQ (although we never used it). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to go back one day.
