Paradise but be ready to walk!

Posted 30-Aug-2015
The Moon Palace was beautiful! The pool activities staff were outgoing, the night entertainment was memorable. The only downside was that activities were spread out so if you wanted to participate or enjoy, it required a lot of walking. The walk from the main lobby to your room at night seemed endless. There were many golf carts that could transport you but they never seemed to be around when you needed one.

Total relaxation

Posted 23-Aug-2015
Had a lovely stay here in August the hotel was extremely busy but as the grounds are vast it didn't seem at all overcrowded and we always a found a quieter spot - bars and restaurants are great and there is something for everyone , first time I have been all inclusive where there is table service instead of buffet style, which was a very nice touch. as you'd expect with such a big resort the restaurants are busy but we never had to wait more than a few minutes to be seated, I think if you can eat earlier or later it helps. There are shuttle services between buildings but we just walked along the beachfront promenade. there is still lots of seaweed on the beach which they do their best to move but that's nature and it can't be helped, there is a smell from the seaweed but coming from the coast myself it's not something that bothered me. All in all we went for a relaxing break and that is exactly what we got

Nice stay--check in a pain

Posted 22-Aug-2015
Pros: Food and that restaurant and other waits were pretty manageable given number of guests.
Cons: No beach.
This was my family's second stay at Moon Palace, but our first at Sunrise (last stayed at Nizuc). We enjoyed the stay overall, but got off to a poor start because we reserved a room (6 months ago) with two double beds and (supposedly) none were available. Our youngest is 18 and 6'2", so we were putting tots on the little rollaway beds. It became more annoying because we were first told no rooms were available, then 10 minutes later there was a double room in a "much better location," then 3 minutes later that room was gone, but our king-bed room was really in the "better location." Felt like we were at a used car dealership. On to the vacation. Most restaurants were excellent. Really enjoyed Brazilian (Azerife?) and Japanese (Momo--did hibachi one night and a la carte another). Barracuda was good for a quicker meal, as was the Mexican buffet at Sunrise. Only meal that was less than desirable was the Italian restaurant at Sunrise (Gondola). As for activities, family really enjoyed the pool and wave/surf thingie (forget what that's called). Entertainment staff definitely worked hard to keep people engaged. Usual annoyances regarding lack of chairs and people reserving them before the sun rises, but we've come to expect that. Used resort credits for the spa, which was nice. Didn't use any other credits, but instead purchased Mayan Adventure (average) and zipline (great) excursions. Wonderful stay overall, but will likely try a hotel with a real beach next time.

Great family friendly Hotel.

Posted 20-Aug-2015
We checked in and had to deal with changing our room but after we got the room we had requested the rest of our vacation was amazing. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Food was okay but all inclusive hotels do have a tendency to not have the best of the best food. We used our resort credits and booked spa and dolphin activities and both were amazing. We didn't use them all so we got a card that lets us use them within a year at any palace resorts. This hotel was a great place for my family and I will be going back that's for sure!

Agradable, garantía de calidad.

Pros: el concepto todo incluido.
Cons: La comida puede mejorar, no es mala, pero tampoco es exquisita, es buena en relación costo beneficio
Location: Albercas, espectaculos nocturnos,

Excellent service.

Posted 14-Aug-2015
Excellent service from all staff. Very good food and multiple options were to eat. Rooms comfortable and clean. Great pools. Would have given a five star rating if not for the beach. Water was dirty and dark, not the typical clear blue. According to staff, there was a natural phenomena from which some part of beach are still recovering. But the hotel makes up for it with their pools and friendly staff. We will go back!!!
