"Great location. Good value for money. Some lights did not work or flickered but that was a very minor irritation as we were there for one night. Def return. Thanks"

Ibis Styles Brisbane Elizabeth Street

Ibis Styles Brisbane Elizabeth Street

8/10 Good
"I spent 6 days at the Ibis in August. The location is ideal ... not far from the Casino, next to the mall, Murphys Pub and surrounded by food eateries, shops and a food hall. A perfect location. The hotel is clean but is aging a bit with loose bathroom fittings, scuffmarks on the wall, and the carpet not as new as it once was. The staff are friendly and excellent> I was upgraded from arrival, and overall enjoyed staying there. Breakfast is very comprehensive and tasty, though it needs a bit of variety from day to day and is well worth the $35 price tag. I asked the chef to make me an omelette which can be done readily. However on asking twice for chopped onion in an omelette, I was disappointed that the chef declined my request. I have asked this before in Macau and it was no problem.. On Saturday morning I couldnt find a table to dine at.. there seemed to be only one person working and the used plates had not been removed. These are probably only isolated instances but were dampeners for my stay. The consierge at the front desk went beyond his line of duty to help remedy a transport development that happened on the day I left. Over I enjoyed my stayed and will stay there again, if and when I travel to Brisbane next time."

"Clean room and clutter free. I had a room with frosted glass windows to the outside, so felt a little claustrophobic. Staff were a little slow in checking me in, making the process feel a little frustrating for a traveller. Overall, I’d rate it a 7/10, and not sure whether I’d stay again at this hotel. No toothpaste, toothbrush, comb, other basic items you’d expect to find at a hotel. It wasn’t cheap, so I expected a little more."

"Amazing 5 star resort! Our family of 5 would definitely stay at The Star Grand again. Excellent service and gorgeous large size rooms with comfy beds and so clean. Views are unbelievable and lots of restaurants to choose from. Walking distance from CBD and South Bank and a CityCat ferry terminal just a 5 min walk from the hotel. Perfect location when visiting Brisbane. Concierge service was extremely helpful in organizing day trips for our family to visit the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast."
