"We decided on this hotel because of the excellent rating on Expedia. Unfortunately it did not live up to expectations. We stayed in one of the family rooms. There appeared to be some water damage and what I assume was black mold in the bathroom. The entire room smelt like mildew. The beds were also quite hard and the pillows lumpy and uncomfortable. "We had a wonderful stay at Ferme de la Rançonnière and would absolutely recommend it. The property is beautiful, full of history, and very well maintained. Our room was comfortable, the grounds were peaceful, and the staff were warm and welcoming. The location is perfect for exploring the Normandy landing beaches while still enjoying a quiet countryside setting. Breakfast was excellent, and the restaurant was also very good.
