Rented a private room, obviously pricer than just a bed, but worth it. A great place to meet new people. Many foreigners. Exceptional friendly, helpful, welcoming staff.

Excellent facilities, pool was great, super social vibe, free salsa lessons in evening are fun, paid lessons are also available which my partner did. No air conditioning in private bedrooms. A fan is provided but it doesn't do much, meaning a very warm sleep. Shared bathrooms and showers are less ideal but they are kept clean. The kitchen is VERY warm to cook in, there is a strong fan but it's not super fun to spend a lot of time in. Kitchen fridge is very full. Surrounding area is good and feels safe at night. Highly recommend Creolle Lovers for a meal, just down the road.

I wouldn't come back

The private rooms are terrible, but extremely hot and noisy cause they're next to the pool. If you want a private room with comfort go somewhere else.

Not the worst, not the best

Hostel was ok, good facilities although only 3 toilets for women for the whole hostel. 12 bed room had 1 small fan, it smelt so bad there was no ventilation. Mainly the vibe was just soooo off. No one was friendly, I guess this place is more for groups of travellers. Staff told me a tour I had waited all day to do was cancelled and then it went ahead as the other staff member told me after. Anyway I stayed the nights I’d paid for and then moved to another hostel which was amazing!

The staff were super friendly, I like the ambiance of the place. The negative was the room lacked proper ventilation and felt very stuffy. At times it was hotter inside the room than outside. Breakfast was ok. The location is really close, a 5 mins walk from San Antonio church. Another benefit is that a number of tours starts from there and lots of activities that you can join. Overall I liked it.

Good price value

It’s good a value for your money. Some rooms are sticky and the fans aren’t enough. It’s a good hostel with buffet breakfast and kitchen. However some people are loud and inconsiderate towards others.
