The way a boutique hotel should be. Quiet, outstanding service, clean, comfortable beds, modern bathroom. The location is safe, walking distance or a short uber ride to the best parts of the city. The restaurant downstairs was a plus as well. And lastly, as a very light sleeper, I was happy to find out that the windows were double-paned glass! This is a rarity in South America and made all the difference blocking the street noise (which wasn't much of either way).

San Antonio great stay
Amazing location in central touristic Cali. Building is modern. Breakfast is tasty but somewhat small at the neighboring restaurant. Reception was available pretty much all day and helpful on multiple occasions. Bringing in guests was a bit uncomfortable since they have to register even if they're not staying.

The check in was supposed to be at 3 pm but we had to wait until 4 to get rooms. Rooms were okay.. we did not have lights in the master room. We had to use the lights of the hall.

Only hotel I stay at when in Colombia. It’s clean, safe & the staff in great. I only speak English but they are patient with me and all use the translation app. Breakfast is sooooo good. Room is comfortable and I recommend!

Highly recommend. Boutique hotel located in a safe area of Cali. Clean. I was upgraded as an Expedia Gold client. The room was nice and spacious. Breakfast included which was a la carte. Staff speak limited English but are friendly and helpful. Cali is not the safest place. This hotel is located in a safe area with a supermarket, restaurants and bars on your doorstep. Use uber or ask the hotel to call a taxi for sightseeing.

Best hotel in Cali
We had the best time at Hotel el penon. I was in Cali for one night with my wife and we were not sure where to stay. We picked this hotel and it did not disappoint. The beds are super comfy and the atmosphere is great. If I ever go back to Cali I would stay at Hotel el penon.

Great service from beginning to end. The staff was extremely helpful and courteous. The area nearby is excellent to hang out by as well as the dining options. The room was always clean and the hotel staff is very helpful. Definitely recommend.

Don’t lie you only make matters worse!!!
Hotel in nice location with two restaurants on site. Breakfast was good but hesitant with coffee refills. My issue with this hotel is while checking in we asked about the VIP upgrade. We were told we had the already booked the best room. Check in was very slow and when we got to our room it was not the one we booked. A major down grade which they knew when we asked about an upgrade. When we return to complain they said the one we booked was already occupied. They offered us free lunch and dinner to compensate which we took until the occupants left our room. My problem is that they knew this when we checked in and rather than being upfront about it they just put us in a subpar room. If you make a mistake be honest don’t try to pull the wool over the customers eyes. When we finally got to the room we booked it was wonderful.

Angela was a perfect representative of the hotel. She took care of our concern immediately and satisfactorily. Jen was friendly and accommodating. Room was very clean, well laid out and comfortable. Breakfast was wonderful. Location very good, quiet and safe with access to everything a tourist would want.

Pretty great spot if you dont mind a hard matress
We had the master bedroom. It was beautuful, spacious, clean. The area of hotel is safe and very nice with lots of restaurants and some bars. Good breakfast - small but good. Eveything great except the mattress and pillows. They were hard. It felt like sleeping on clean cement.

Ellos dicen que tienen parqueadero Y cuando llegas tienen convenio con otro hotel y hay que pagar, dicen que toenen desayuno incluido Y tienen convenio con otro restaurante y nunca te dicen que esta incluido y al final te cargan extras que has consumido en el desayuno.

I can't say enough about how great things about this hotel property is. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful and goes over and beyond to accommodate hotel guests' needs. Without hesitation, when visiting Cali, this is the best place to stay.
