"This property was right in the centre of Calais. Just a 5 min taxi ride from ferry terminal. Approx 6-10 euro for trip. Staff were lively, breakfast was amazing with so much choice. "I've stayed in Calais a lot, but never previously at the Metropol. It is now firmly on my list and I would not hesitate to stay here again. Easy to park on the street outside. "I've stayed here several times and will continue to do so in the future. The staff are very friendly and professional. "The hotel is exactly what it says on the tin - 1 star wouldn’t give it more than that. It had everything we needed but the shower was a bit ridiculous... as high as you can imagine and the water went everywhere. You had to be very careful when showering which was a bit of a pain. "Ok.. it was an emergency booking on the day. It was th "cheapest" and where I needed to be. Got the key a lot earlier than check in time, after explaining I have driven for over 19 hours straight.
