North West Castle Hotel

"Just home from an overnight stay & have to say loved it. The reception staff were lovely. We arrived a wee bit early but very much welcomed. Went for a swim which was great. Booked a table for dinner & oh wow it was amazing as was the service from the staff. Not really a view but for 1 night wasn't too bothered the room was clean & had everything we needed. The hotel I had read comments saying it was dated in need of updating & we saw the pictures before we booked & this did not put us off infact I wouldn't hesitate to book again for a longer stay. Thank you so much would definitely be back"
Lakeview Guest House

"Lakeview guest house is really lovely. Very clean, nice double bed, and great en suite shower room. Breakfast was delicious and the hosts were really helpful. Will definitely stay again"
The Portpatrick Hotel by Compass Hospitality

"This hotel was in an amazing location. The view was INCREDIBLE. It is a very old property but they do a good job of trying to keep it clean, maintained and updated. It wasn’t the Ritz Carlton by any means, but it was good enough for what we needed. Close to an AMAZING golf course (walking distance) which also had a very challenging par 3 course. The staff were very helpful and we would stay here again. Food was just ok but breakfast was included in our stay so it was fine."
The Harbour House Hotel

"Ideally situated overlooking the harbour, this hotel offers sea views from its' restaurant and some bedrooms. I was, unexpectedly, given a self-catering apartment next door which meant that i had plenty of space with a lounge/kitchen area in addition to the bathroom and bedroom(s). The only problem was that the door into my apartment was really difficult to push open, hand and foot were required. This was certainly because of the heat, but I was surprised that cleaners etc. hadn't noticed and reported this before. I did report it but as I only had a one-night stay it couldn't be rectified during my visit. The food was excellent and the waitresses were good."
Corsewall Lighthouse Hotel

"Fantastic wild location - remote, but not too far from Stranraer. Some great local walks, and sunsets. The hotel is quiet, small and unique. Our dog was very welcome, and got extra treats for breakfast. The food was amazing - surprising, given the remote location. Room was clean and spacious, and the staff were all very friendly. There's an EV charger just next to the hotel, which was a welcome bonus. Definitely recommended."

"Glenapp was the last stop before home, on our NC500 honeymoon. The staff as always were delightful & very helpful. The welcome is always special here & there were plenty of help to carry all our unorganised belongings to accomodate us all. This time we had our dog with us & Glenapp's policy suited us well, he had a welcom pack & was made extremely comfortable. Our room was spacious & well maintained. We dont expect dogs to be allowed in the restaurant area & the policy was that Ozzy was aloud to stay behind in the room. We ate in the potting shed of the Azalea, We were greeted by Jen, a lovely chatty, bubbly & profesional resturant manager. As we ate early & the other couples didn't have an issue, she very kindly allowed us to have ozzy sitting quietly at our table. It shouldn't be expected but honestly just the small personal touches & personalities is what make your stay special. We will be back to try our the new "Nest" Many Thanks"
