"Excellent stay at Plaza Mina Suites. We had the penthouse apartment which had a fabulous private roof terrace with table and chairs and sun loungers which we made use of due to having great weather in March. Great location, shops and restaurants around the corner. The old town of Cadiz is very walkable - nothing was more than a 15-20 minute walk away at the most from the apartment. "The receptionist was very friendly and helpful on check in. We chose the hotel due to its location and they accept dogs. The charge was a reasonable €16.50 for our dog and there was a dog bed, 2 bowls and a treat in our room. The bed was comfortable and there was a kettle and coffee machine in the room. This is a boutique hotel so no bar as such but it has a cafe on the ground floor with outdoor seating (it is in a pedestrian area) and you can buy drinks and take them up to the rooftop terrace. We stayed in the room at the top which also has some outdoor space. As others have mentioned the room and bathroom could do with being updated but we felt it offered good value for money. Parking Canajelas is 5 minutes away and was €25 overnight."

"Generally a nice hotel with friendly staff. Good WiFi. Good breakfast. Bath good. Cleaning facilities good and done quickly. However I thought it was expensive for what it was. Unfortunately the room we had only had a window that was frosted which meant there was no view and little natural light."

"Absolutely wonderful 2 night stay….staff amazing from reception to both restaurants. Great location and gorgeous sea views and adjacent to beautiful gardens with waterfall and topiary’s. At breakfast if you are a tea drinker place the order with a member of staff who has the trolley as there is no self serve tea making facilities. The food offerings were excellent for gluten free and had an omelette station too. "

"The apartment was spacious and comfortable. The building was very nice with a nice seating area and complimentary refreshments. The location was good for the train station - an easy 15 minute walk. The only downside was the noise on a night. We stayed 7 nights and the last 3 (Thurs, Fri, Sat) were very noisy into the early hours of the morning. There is only one small bar nearby but the streets of the old town are narrow which seemed to amplify the noise as groups of people were walking and talking. We were prepared with earplugs as any city break has the potential for noise. If it hadnt been for that it would've been perfect. "
