I have a pleasant 1 night stay at Byblos. The staff makes an effort to accommodate and please guests, which is a big plus. The view from the pool area is fabulous. The room was clean and spacious, furnished with good taste. I had no complaints. I would stay there again.

Great location. However, some guests were allowed to speak loudly and party and disturb other guests yet staff doesn't do anything. Unable to enjoy my stay or use common areas because of this.

Pousada Byblos is my favorite place to stay in Buzios. The hotel and Rooms are extremely clean the staff especially Beatriz, are excellent and very accommodating. Make sure to get an ocean view room! The rooftop pool and lounge are perfect for watching the sunset, taking a swim or having a drink or snack. You are right about n the bay and 5 mins from Rua das Pedras. This was my 2nd stay with my friends and we will definitely be back.

The property had great views and was close to the main boardwalk next to the ocean which has all the shops and nice restaurants. Also the breakfast was really good. Keep in mind you have to pay a 75-100 dollar tourist fee depending on your length of stay. I stayed 5 days and paid 320.00 reais. Staff was nice and location was nice. A bit pricey for the condition though.

Byblos fan!
I would highly recommend Byblos! Beautiful views from the pool deck. Great location - walking distance to downtown area and many beaches. Hotel concierge was excellent and helped plan and organize many of our activities (since we did not speak Portuguese) Would definitely stay here again.

Close to everything with an ocean view!
I liked this hotel a lot. I stayed in the residences area away from the hotel. They say it was 80 meters but much farther. It was a delightful apartment and less than the regular much smaller room in the hotel. The breakfast was quite good, the view was amazing, and it was close to everything you want to see. The big problem I had with this hotel was NO ONE spoke English. It made even the basics very difficult. Considering how many of the guests were non-Portuguese speakers it seems there should be at least one person on duty who can speak English. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again. It was a great value for the money.

Byblos in March 2013
A charming hotel with a friendly, accomodating staff in an ideal location. Easy jaunt to the center of town. Very nice breakfast. Internet worked fine. My double bed was not very comfortable and needs to be upgraded. All in all I would recommend this hotel, but test the bed before accepting the room you are assigned.

Extremely expensive room and no bed!!!!!
When we got to the hotel it looked nice, but as soon as we got our "luxury" sea view room we were totally disappointed. The view was completely obstructed with thick telephone cables and the bed was really hard. That night we slept terrible and at the beginning of the second night my husband was having back problems and our neighbors were shouting and we could hear EVERYTHING (the walls in this place are like paper too), so we told them that we wanted another room. Their most luxurious rooms upstairs were all under construction, so they put us in a lower room, a "garden" room that looks out to the parking lot, not the garden. We soon realized that OUR FIRST ROOM DIDN'T HAVE A MATTRESS!!!! This lower cost room did and that's how we found out the difference. We slept there and decided to leave the hotel the next day as soon as we found out that the hotel manager wasn't going to give us back a refund for sleeping in a lower cost bedroom and for charging us the full refund of many hundred dollars a night for already sleeping in a room with only the boxer and no mattress!!!! We had a huge fight with the hotel manager when they didn't want to let us go and still charged us for 4 nights (even though we were there 2 nights & then left). The manager didn't care that our expensive room did not have a mattress and we had slept in the boxer. That did it and we decided to cut our stay short at this place. DON'T STAY AT BYBLOS UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR VACATION TO BE A NIGHTMARE!!!!

Não gostei do quarto
Pousada excelente, vista da orla bardot sensacional, café da manhã dos melhores que já experimentei, apenas não gostei do quarto onde fui colocado, muito próximo da recepção e por isso com bastante barulho, mas no geral gostei muito da estadia. Equipe muito atenciosa e simpática.

Ótima pousada!
Ótima pousada! Boa cama e bom café da manhã. Funcionários muito simpáticos e atenciosos. Conforto (principalmente na área da piscina com bar, espreguiçadeiras e toalhas boas) e linda vista! Um dos quartos estava reformado mas o outro precisava ser renovado, principalmente o banheiro.

Segunda experiência não tão boa quanto a primeira.
Minha segunda vez no hotel, porém dessa vez a cama de casal, eram duas camas de solteiro juntas, não ficando confortável, pois havia uma divisória dura no meio. Infelizmente o exaustor da cozinha ficava colado no banheiro do quarto e entrava todo o cheiro de comida. O café da manhã ficou limitado, pois traziam na mesa, na minha primeira estadia, o café da manhã era farto e selfie service. Café bem confuso, pois o atendente não explicou as possibilidades que tinham fora o que estava escrito no cardápio. O segundo dia melhor, pois o atendente era muito mais atencioso do que o do primeiro dia, ou seja, depende da sorte de um bom atendente. Boa localização, ótima limpeza, boas instalações e uma vista maravilhosa.

Minha experiência na pousada foi ótimo no sentido da localização perfeita. Os funcionários são bem atenciosos. A pousada é extremamente linda, mas precisa de uma reforma. A comida é boa, mas é importante que se adeque a uns pontos. Tipo queria um purê e não faziam é um detalhe simples que faz a diferença. A roupa de cama banho também tem que ser revista, tem manchas o valor da estadia não é barato, então temos que colocar os pontos a serem revistos. Em compensação o café da manhã é maravilhoso e a máquina de café foi uma ótima aquisição para pousada.

Frustrante - Custo benefício ruim
Estadia Razoável para mal. Falta de acolhimento dos hóspedes, falha na comunicação com a equipe de reservas, quartos próximos à cozinha com barulho. Fui informado que a pousada tinha acabado de passar por uma reforma, melhorias nos quartos etc etc. Infelizmente o banheiro do nosso quarto estava em condição ruim em relação ao valor pago pela diária. Ainda, não melhoraram as roupas de cama e toalhas. Não tivemos serviço de quarto. Os pregos no deck da área externa continuam aparentes e furando a sola dos pés.

A troca de acomodação fica sujeita a disponibilidade e foi atendida imediatamente após a solicitação para melhor atendê-los. Durante o check-in, nossa equipe informa que para a arrumação dos quartos é necessária deixar na porta a placa solicitando o serviço.
