"We recently stayed at the Three Kings for 2 nights, having stayed there before. The room contained a very comfortable and large bed, with an adequate TV, coffee machine, kettle, coffee/tea, hairdryer, hanging space, and a fold up suitcase stand. The bathroom had shampoo and shower gel, and the shower itself was very good. The property has a restaurant and bar attached, where we had a very good dinner on the first night. This is where breakfast was served which, on the first morning, was exceptional. Unfortunately, on the second morning, some items not required were served and other items were missing and/or cold. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating, and helped to make our stay enjoyable, thank you! We look forward to visiting again, and we would certainly recommend the Three Kings."

"Breakfast was delicious - almost too much food! Not easy to get food in the evenings though so we ate out, which was easy enough."

"Miss advertising the room.. given wrong room when booked in then given another room with balcony but couldn’t swing a cat in the room as it was so small. We booked this room as it was a 3 day stay for our wedding and honeymoon. In the end we got a bigger room like the picture but no balcony. We were told there are no rooms like the one in the picture. I am very disappointed "

"Parking was 20 pounds a night which seemed excessive. Room was very clean. Our dinner in the adjoining restaurant was excellent! However, our room was a long way from the elevator. At 1 in the morning, the fire alarm went off. We stood outside in the cold for 30 before we could return to our room. The alarm continued to go off throughout the night. There was no hot water in the morning. Elevators were closed. I do realize things do happen that are beyond our control , but at no time did the staff ask how we were doing ( we are seniors). Checkout was as if nothing had happened the night before. "

"We were pleasantly surprised that after seeing a few so-so reviews, that was not our experience at all - we had a great stay! The house and gardens are beautiful and while you'd expect a little wear and tear of a property that age, it was very impressive and looked after. We had one of the lodges at the side of the garden and really liked the little terrace outside our door that looked over the garden. The room couldn't be faulted, a very comfortable bed, lots of space and the bathroom was well equiped and spacious. Everything was clean and well maintained and the rainhead shower was strong and refreshing. We didn't see many staff, but the ones we did see were polite and helpful. There was a lot of choice at breakfast and I had the full vegetarian option - excellent scrambld eggs in particular. Overnight, strings of lights lit the garden and it was lovely to sit on the chairs they provided on our little terrace. We've reason to visit the area regularly now and we will try to stay there again."
