Hotel Indigo Brussels - City by IHG

Hotel Indigo Brussels - City by IHG

8/10 Good
"This hotel is really stylish and clean. I stayed in a premium room for 3 with my two teenagers and it was nice and big and nicely decorated. It was a nice base for the three nights. The air con is great and the WiFi was brilliant. I have dropped a star because: • The location is not great, I didn't realise at the time of booking, but the north area is a bit dodgy. From reading on, they have a bit of a problem with drugs and illegal immigrants in the area, so much that the police have admitted that they can't police it. My recommendation is to get a cab to the hotel and not to use Brussels Nord for any journeys if you have children with you. • The staff I dealt with were a bit... Flat... I don't know how else to describe it. Also, one person said we would be charged city tax at the end of our stay, but then I noticed payments going on my card at 1/2pm every day. When I asked, they said it was city tax. Then, they tried to charge me again when I left! • The garden bar wasn't open, and the main bar was not a nice place to sit in the day, especially with children (clean and nice decor, but really dark) Another tip, the fridge is a bit useless, so don't expect to get cold drinks from it."

"Un superbe hôtel ! Les gens à l’accueil étaient extrêmement serviables et sympathiques. La chambre était au 5 ieme , la vue était incroyable. L’emplacement est optimal, à deux pas de la cathédrale et de la Grande Place et directement au coeur des restaurants et boutiques."

Warwick Brussels Grand-Place

Warwick Brussels Grand-Place

10/10 Excellent
"The hotel was conveniently located by the central train station and for taxi cab services. It was also a two block walk to the center square of town and very close to multiple restaurants. The staff was very helpful with directing me to a pharmacy at 9 o’clock at night where I could get a prescription filled while most of the pharmacies were closed for the evening. Air conditioning worked well and was comfortable especially since my wife likes the room very cold for sleeping. Had a nice room with a comfortable bed and separate sitting area. The roof top bar had an excellent view of the City Hall tower. It was a very nice place to relax in the evening. We were very happy with our stay at the Warwick and would recommend it and stay here again."
