"It’s hard to comment properly as we arrived late in the dark but even still the staff on the desk were so friendly greeting us, and super helpful and understanding when I realised I’d made a mistake with the booking. It’s lovely and quiet despite being so close to the motorway. Immediately put at ease and reassured that it’s a great place to stay, even if as it is for us just an overnight stopover mid journey. "

"This property is an absolute delight!!! Superb in every way. Staff are friendly, helpful, courteous. They go out of their way to accommodate. Property is immaculate!!!! Squeaky clean, warm, delightful old English charmed building in excellent condition throughout! Food is excellent, well presented and super tasty!!! A short walk opposite the property takes you to the most charming of Yorkshire market towns Howes. We will be back!!!! Great job to the whole team at Stonehouse Hotel "

"Stayed in the Royalist Suite for a short break with our daughter and found the place just totally amazing. Stephanie was friendly and provided accurate local and check in information. Orton Hall, and the Royalist Suite are stunning and just next level opulence. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need, but we hardly used it, as the George pub is literally 5 minutes walk and the food fab, with a very friendly landlors and staff. The grounds of the Hall are great, and, despite the damp weather had a couple of strolls and spotted a couple of cheeky red squirrels and a multitude of birdlife. The village is quiet, but not so remote that you are cut off, and in addition to the pub has a shop and fcafe in the chocolate factory (an absolute MUST!!). You are within a 10 minute drive of the M6 with easy access to the lake district. We wouild absolutely stay here again."

"Great hotel rooms were large and everything we needed. Super value for money. The staff were amazing considering it was Easter and how busy they were, still managed to smile and make time for us. Would highly recommend to stay there as more than reasonable and near the Lakes and The Dales .. will definitely return… thank you guys "
